Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Casey Carmichael was originally known in the local scene as an established act for R&B and Jazz. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Casey slowly developed a newfound love for folk and country music. Soon he had a penchant for “four chords and the truth” approach to writing, building up his voice and writing songs within the new genre context. Performing across the city of Atlanta, Casey’s musical inspiration comes from his love for his wife, baby girl and a desire to connect with his listeners.
Casey’s first release since 2022 arrives as the single ‘Hold My Hand’. The love-drenched track is a simple arrangement between guitar and vocals, the intricacies of the music being found in the impressive musicianship on display. Casey’s words take listeners on a journey through the hardships of life, giving a depth of understanding towards these emotions that is nothing short of captivating. Ever-present, the glowing guitar line bounds through the music, supporting soft vocals and even softer hums.
Casey shares, “Hold My Hand is about overcoming difficult circumstances. We face many challenges throughout life, and when you face these challenges with your partner, it is up to you to reassure them that everything is going to be okay. This song focuses on sticking together through it all and focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel.”
