Dalinda, the internationally acclaimed artist whose multicultural roots span Bosnia, Libya, and the UK, returns with her deeply personal new single The Nile.

A genre-fluid, melancholic indie-pop track, “The Nile” blends dreamy vocals with world-music chill-out ambience and lush, live instrumentation produced by longtime collaborator Pete Murray with zero samples. The song serves as a profound exploration of love and loss, anchored by a sweeping, atmospheric world-infused bridge that merges Dalinda’s rich musical heritage with contemporary indie textures.

The track’s emotional core is so moving that upon first hearing it, Dalinda’s non-English-speaking mother, whose portrait graces the single’s cover art and who inspired the song, was brought to tears.

“‘The Nile’ is a very personal piece about love and loss,” says Dalinda. “It transcends language and speaks straight from the heart.”

Born to Bosnian parents, raised in Libya, and now based in the UK, Dalinda’s sound has always been defined by cultural fusion. Her debut album, Turquoise (ARC Music), produced by the legendary Hossam Ramzy, gained global acclaim. She achieved massive success in the Middle East with the chart-topping hit “Leish” alongside Hamid AlShairi, and has collaborated across genres with artists like Phil Thornton and secured sync placements on MTV.

Now, with “The Nile,” Dalinda continues her artistic evolution, creating space for curious, explorative listeners and cinematic late-night playlists.

Stream “The Nile” now on all major platforms.
