Recently, I had the opportunity to listen to the Namibian rap/hip-hop artist PROKLAIM for the first time. I was truly impressed by the production and the vibe of his song “Bad Ting.” It was a fantastic experience to hear skillfully blended Afro beats with elements of US Hip-Hop and Rap.
PROKLAIM draws inspiration from renowned US rap and hip-hop artists like Tupac and Eminem, as well as the iconic Bob Marley, blending it with his African heritage. His positive drive towards music could serve as a guiding light for emerging artists today. “I am passionate about creating music that is not only pleasing to the ear but also fulfilling to create authentically. It’s about the emotion I aim to evoke,” PROKLAIM shared. As I’ve mentioned before, mark my words, he is destined to become a prominent figure in the global rap/hip-hop scene. Cheers to his success!
