Milan, Italy – Italian musician, guitarist, and composer Richard Green released “Age of Dreams” on 22 December 2024 as part of the EP First Light, the opening chapter of his most ambitious artistic undertaking to date: a three-part neoclassical trilogy exploring the arc of human life through childhood, adulthood, and legacy.
The track captures the carefree, boundless imagination of youth, that precious “age of dreams” when possibility feels infinite, a quality many lose as adults. Green’s deeply personal concept is brought to life through a seamless fusion of classical piano and string arrangements with contemporary sensibilities, resulting in sophisticated, genre-defying compositions that are both artistically significant and emotionally resonant.
First Light features collaborations with classical musicians of considerable stature, including pianist Irene Veneziano and the string quartet Archimia. The project began as a single EP but expanded into a full trilogy, with A Journey and The Circle Closes also released in 2024, completing a cohesive narrative journey.
Richard Green is based in Milan and shaped by the eleven years he spent in London, where he earned his degree in music. From his very first release, “Dark Horses” (2020), he has demonstrated remarkable versatility across styles. After early experiments in electronic music, he turned to this neoclassical body of work: piano and string quartet compositions that blend modern approaches with a classical foundation in original and refined ways.
Looking ahead, Green continues to explore new directions in 2026 with two contrasting projects: one focused on melodic electro/tech with elaborate production, and another centred on rhythm-driven music that mixes funk, rock, electro and hip-hop. This ongoing range underscores the versatility that has defined his career from the beginning.
