Proklaim’s rich rapping never ceases to entertain and enrich the senses. Namibia’s fastest growing musical export and his latest drop ‘Call’ are -as usual- enthralling and memorable.

A rapper hailing from the Namibian capital Windhoek, Proklaim’s musical rise has been phenomenal, with a steady stream of singles coming like a torrential shower of good, weighted, and thoughtful rap over the course of the last year. Forever shapeshifting, Proklaim is a chameleon who never seems to settle for one style, yet over time has come to define a particular sound that’s instantly recognizable with a gravelly timbre and some incredibly catchy flows.

Proklaim’s boom bap rapping makes a welcome return on his punchy, latest single ‘Call’. With its free-styled, melodic chorus, and bustling, horn laden underpinnings, ‘Call’ is as confident in its flow and pacing as is all of Proklaim’s previous releases. With production done in Windhoek’s Audio Art Namibia by Wojtek Majewski improving by each successive release, ‘Call’ sounds tight and punchy with its massive sub bass and the steady, mid tempo pace to its beat.

One more terrific release by Proklaim, a very bountiful artist who seemingly does not run out of ideas for new things to try, ‘Call’ is a welcome addition to a catalog of lush and characterful rap by Proklaim, one of Africa’s most steady and exciting rappers and musicians.
