Norwegian-American pop artist Hanna Andréa delivers a timely and infectious new single with “Get Off Your Phone”, the anthemic lead track from her forthcoming EP Braveheart.
With a playful yet pointed edge, Andréa calls out our screen-obsessed culture, highlighting how constant doom-scrolling causes life’s most meaningful moments to slip away unnoticed. Blending melodic pop with nostalgic ‘90s/early 2000s rock energy, the track features restless, muted guitars and a carefree, Americana-tinged drive that evokes the spirit of Avril Lavigne while feeling fresh and modern (with shades of Olivia Rodrigo).
The song opens with a reflective, wistful moment “Today I saw a shooting star / Not far from where you are…” before building into a direct, sassy refrain that lands with perfect timing: “’Cause you’re on your phone.”
Co-written by Hanna Andréa with Michael Biancaniello, James Conner, Kelsey Gauthier, and Dominique Vellutato, “Get Off Your Phone” is a luminous first taste of Braveheart, an EP that further explores themes of self-acceptance, imperfection, and personal growth. The project also includes the emotional ballad “Pinnacles,” the ethereal “Float,” and the cinematic title track “Braveheart.”

Since her 2024 debut, Hanna Andréa has built a distinctive sound that merges atmospheric synths, orchestral elements, and layered vocals with cinematic storytelling. Often compared to AURORA, Laufey, and Jacob Collier, she stands out through her emotional accessibility and deep involvement in every creative stage. A bilingual, bicultural artist and proud citizen of the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma, Andréa draws from her roots in Northern Norway and the American West, creating music that resonates across generations.
Beyond music, she is also a talented theatrical composer. Her pop-infused musical Muse! The Shakespeare Mayhem Musical (co-created with Lisa Sanderson) premiered at Lincoln Center and will run at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
With “Get Off Your Phone,” Hanna Andréa delivers one of her boldest and most relatable releases yet, a fun, thought-provoking anthem that feels both nostalgic and urgently current.
“GET OFF YOUR PHONE” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
