A Romanian group, based in Timișoara, and founded by producer Daniel Dorobantu, Thy Veils’ expansive synth-led atmospheres are never anything short of awe-inspiring. On the group’s latest foray ‘Here We Are Sidereal’, we find ourselves faced with a truly gigantic sound that is loaded with tasteful detail -a piece that will truly take some time and attention to fully grasp.
Perhaps little is as impactful as the song’s ethereal vocals and brooding synth bass, the modal, floating melodies are subset by a firmly planted bass riff that is as spacey as it is bluesy. An orchestra of reverberated synth pads soar in the background, giving the song its cosmic tendencies.
