A heavenly melodious voice comes from Portland with a fun and exciting ethereal folk music the artist Julia McGarrity is known with the stage name June Magnolia with the smooth and fun voice she released on the 5th of June, 2022 some mix of bouncy, progressive, dark and light tones of music in one album that she called “Memory Palace” that perfectly describes the mixed stories and emotions in her world.

Half Korean princess achieves the ultimate progressive/folk and the harmonic voice she delivers through the music that’s creation is so divine. She created 8 songs in this album that starts with a song called “Ella” which has a fun light vibe and gets you dancing all over the place with a lot of energy and her voice has an energetic good feel about it, June also has a beautiful song that is 2nd in the list “New Love” she starts with playing beautifully on the piano with desirable vocals and her band members that are assembled in this one with a lot of talent that came out and that showed on the video that was recorded on and uploaded on 2021 that innovated great work that works so well with June’s talent.

The track that got me thinking about was “Jane Jane” which was released in October, this was an old folk song that was written back in 1939 by Lila May Stevens that has a buzzing fun vibe to it that get you wrapped up in strings like a puppet and goofing around, a video that was created about this song by June that describes what looks like looping scenario.  “Wisteria” has a jazz music work blended into this song that got me feeling like listening to a piece of old classic jazz music in an old bar in the ’80s in all black and white theme. “Sweater Song” here starts to be a little slow tune and cold breezy weather feel with warm colors of love. “Revolution Around the Sun” Starts with a minute of instrumental music playing that is widely addicting to the ears. “Tristeza” is what I am waiting to tell you about, it’s so far amazing music that makes you feel so light and heavenly lifting your feet going between mountains and by the seaside. “Beneath your mind” is laid on the progressive dark side of her music with great lyrics that are produced through the softest voice “June Magnolia.”

This might be the longest, but it was truly worth listening to this album with a lot of attention it got me at ease while listening to it and got me inspired during my trip. It will get your imagination worked up with a lot of light vibes that will float you up through the melodies of Junes vocals.

“Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies.”
