If you think the market is saturated with blues pop songs with dark lyrics and brooding slow beats then think again, it’s just everybody listening to Adele.
Cindy_Louise comes from Breukelen in the Netherlands, and after a year and a half in production, she releases ‘Monster’. ‘Monster’ is a brooding slow blues pop number with luxurious production and lush melodies and harmonies.
A pleasant short pop song that requires very little effort to pay attention to or enjoy, with a very attractive vocal tone that Cindy-Louise sports. The words are personal and were, in her own description, hard to share. They speak of the negative images and insecurities all of us have and send a message that self-love and appreciation of oneself are more important than faking confidence or seeking reassurance from others. The message is sent on a base of deep vocals, with immense control and a very profound register, even if the display of range is slightly lacking. The music is rich, and the production is luxurious. The song is simply structured of verses, choruses, and a wordless bridge that features a very emotive vocal motif.
Simple, short, poppy, and unique is how I’d describe this piece by Cindy-Louise. Equally at home at lofty LA penthouses or in slow cruises on empty city streets. Check it out and wait for more from the artist that’s starting to gain a deserved spot in the limelight, Cindy-Louise.
