Pop artist BlueLee returns with another sensual and laidback pop gem that aims to create a chill, Latin vibe with its trap beats and colorful melodies.
Currently based in the Swiss haven of Zurich, BlueLee is a singer and a songwriter who is featuring Ka$pa on this latest musical offering, a single titled ‘Talk to Me’. This release from the diverse artists who have a history together going back nearly a decade is all about communication. Person-to-person talking and the often underrated wonders that it is capable of doing, even in the direst of situations, and to drive home this message the pair employ a mid-tempo, minimal arrangement of punchy, yet smooth, electro-pop that borrows from Latin and afrobeat traditions in its melodic structure, and minimal, rhythm-driven feel.
Excellently mixed, this cut was produced by Swiss-based Mykel Costa, and its perfectly impactful kicks, claps, and start-stop synth bass are a capable display of the man’s sensibilities for simply good, modern pop. Moreover, the vocal, part-sung, and part-rapped duet between BlueLee and Ka$pa exudes the chemistry between both voices and the cheeky, meaningful words elevate the music to make things actually make sense. This song about talking is an eloquent, well-calculated affair.
Simplicity is more often than not an indication that the artists have a thing to talk about and want to get a message across. ‘Talk to Me’ is just that, and it serves it well that the music is just so groovy.
