Dublin-born, Liverpool-based songwriter TARA is currently studying at the LIPA, refining her talents and blending the sounds of her home town and new surroundings. Recently, TARA saw traction of a collaboration with Irish DJ Fahri Mac, creating a dance anthem that saw growth on SoundCloud.
With the same dance music influence in mind, TARA now releases the heartwarming pop anthem ‘I Need You’. Gentle four-to-the-floor kicks drive the track forward, as the atmosphere builds with swirling synth pads, electric guitar arpeggios and rich vocal melodies. TARA soars through the music, delivering emotive lyricism and captivating performances. It’s both gleaming and reserved, showcasing confidence and energy from the artist.
TARA shares, “I wrote this song during one of the Covid lockdowns and it came together pretty quickly. I finished the whole thing in less than a day, that doesn’t usually happen. I was so happy. It was about a boy I had a thing for at the time (the usual lol), but he kept giving me mixed signals so I just had to get my frustration out in a song! As I’ve grown up, the meaning of the song has grown with me, and I no longer think about that boy who gave me mixed signals, ha!”
