Polish pop phenomenon LUNA has been making global ripples over the past year representing her country in Eurovision 2024, alongside a string of fantastic singles in support of her upcoming sophomore record, last of which is today’s sensational ‘Wild West’.
LUNA is based in the Polish capital Warsaw, and she just knows how to put a pop tune together. With her ethereal vocals and breezy, airy delivery, her songs are always a joy to sit through. Easy to enjoy, LUNA is also a capable songwriter with an ear for melodies that stick. In that light, ‘Wild West’ is extremely fun.
This short pop stunner is commercial, radio-friendly, and with massive pop appeal, but just like always, LUNA’s songwriting is not being dumbed down. Quite the opposite in fact, LUNA’s ‘Wild West’ is punchy and groovy, with a terrific sub bass part that’s just inspired. The flow of the single is also simply brilliant with the aforementioned groove and bass parts working alongside the engaging vocal part with a prominent hook and an electrifying key change in the song’s last quarter.
LUNA has quickly grown to be one of Poland’s most important voices on the global pop stage, and with her array of artistic talents, not an ounce of her success is undeserved. With a quirky and fun video, delightfully shot and directed, and a tightly written and produced song, LUNA’s ‘Wild West’ is short, quick, and fast-paced pop fun.
