Grammy-award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Rob Giles is making a grand musical comeback after 10 years with a mesmerizing new album that takes us on a journey through all human emotions, with extremely high levels of musicality and musical creativity…” Meditation Drive Thru” is an absolute joy to experience.

Rob worked with Grammy-winning producer Rich Jacques and together they combined their creative forces to make something true and pure…that is why every song feels three-dimensional and real…everything comes from an extremely high point of creativity and emotional truth.

As you go further and deeper into “Meditation Drive Thru” you’ll experience very diverse musical journeys and emotional experiences…with each song being like a character is a rich multi-layered novel…each song has its own presence and charisma…

…that’s not where Rob’s creative jurisdiction ends, by no means, he is known of course for his solo work, but also for working with Andy Summers of the Police, Lisa Loeb, Sara Ramirez, The Rescues, and more…he also had some time to focus on film and television writing in 2015 when he sold two spec scripts to Warner Bros…and WB actually developed two of his shows with the CW in 2016 and 2017…so now that you know more about the amazing Rob…let’s hit the play button and get a taste of what his comeback album is all about…

The album starts with “Tears Into Art”…a very emotive and moving piece of melodic heaven, with hints of folk and indie…the vibe is like nothing you’ll find anywhere…the melodies are mesmerizing and the instrumentation is absolutely stunning, perfectly matching the feel and mood of the emotions…

…but not all songs are the same flavor…that’s where Rob’s musical diversity comes into play…he keeps things fresh across the 11 songs of the album and makes it look easy, taking us from one emotion to the other, from one story to another like that…

“New Mistake” adds some grooviness to the emotional journey with a tight and locked-in bass and drum beat…while “Some Stars” adds more energy and power to the album with its powerful and huge-sounding production approach and while also being highly anthemic.

…and for the sea lovers out there, “Up On A Plane” feels like a trip to the sea, the slide guitar feels like the waves are hitting the beach each time it plays a melody…this song is perfectly minimal, a perfectly raw piece of music that is absolutely brilliant…

…Rob doesn’t shy away from exploring the electronic and the synth realms…and he does it brilliantly with “Lower”…an electronic-focused song that maintains Rob’s signature melodic approach, yet sounds futuristic and classical at the same time.

…from one mood to another, from one melody to the next, from one engaging musical story to another, Rob takes us on a ride that is absolutely unique and filled to the brim with excellent musicality.

Wishing Rob all the best in life…we can’t get enough of “Meditation Drive Thru”…and will probably keep it on repeat till we get the next one…a brilliant piece of musical history.

Cheers!
