Inspired by the quiet introspection of the winter solstice, “Solstice” was written during a time of reflection, Christmas anticipation, and contemplation of the year gone by. The track captures a vivid moment of creation, self-acceptance, and healing in what Dan describes as a “rough year.” With its meditative ambient textures, subtle electronic pulses, and atmospheric depth, the song invites listeners into a space of calm reflection and emotional renewal.
“Solstice” was recorded entirely in Dan’s home studio in Milton Keynes, surrounded by family, Coke Zero, and red wine.
