The brilliant American singer and songwriter Shane Rennison releases quite the cozy EP titled “Live at the Outlier Inn”…a warm and soulful musical trip, albeit short, an emotionally charged, concentrated dose of high levels of musicianship and some of the most soul captivating melodies we’ve seen this year.
The EP is made up of 3 songs, all performed live, showcasing the stunning levels of musicality and talent that Shane has within his soul…
This musical experience starts with “Closer”, an upbeat and cozy performance with an extremely catchy chorus…and let’s not forget about the guitar solo…and again, this is live, c’mon…an absolutely perfect melodic solo!
…great musical transitions are an absolute hallmark of Shane’s art, always taking us on the journey he masterfully created, through the ups and downs…and getting us back on dry land…that’s the chorus of course!
Shane takes us next on a different kind of emotional journey with his song “Ghost”…a more mellow and ballad-like song that has an absolutely hooking piano line and some amazing guitar licks playing behind Shane’s absolutely amazing vocal performance…the track picks up the energy towards the end and going into a faster beat filling us with energy, only to end on a very emotional note…this kind of musical contrast does wonders.
…amazing guitar swells, we can’t get this unique sound out of our heads.
Ending this experience, Shane plays “Drunk”…an energetic indie pop rock song with lots of bright energy and an excellent lyrical storytelling approach that feels unique.
Shane’s performance is absolutely perfect and…we wish to have been able to check this performance live, it’s excellent in almost all the ways you could imagine.
We wish Shane all the best and can’t wait to see what he cooks up next for the world…but we’re pretty sure it’s going to be amazing.
Cheers!
