Maya Salafia drops her first single this year, Everlasting, after a very successful journey that followed her last year’s single release, First Grade.‘ The 16-year-old Boston-based up-and-coming singer and songwriter was awarded Most Impressive Songwriting and earned 2nd place in both the solo/duo performer and vocal performance categories in the Young Performer’s Club Talent Showcase at the Boston Hard Rock Café this year, along with other rewards received and contests won from her last year’s single only which has reached over 29K streams on Spotify.

Everlasting is a love song with a poetic context and beautiful melodies with chill acoustics.

Maya paints a dreamy portrait with her lyrics that help you visualize her story while listening to her ethereal melodies and her capturing soft voice. With lines like “Do you watch the moon on the car ride home? I’m watching it too, but you don’t know.” This song could be considered a turning point for the artist where she added a full band to accompany her soft vocals, giving it a touch of rock influence by combining the acoustics and electric guitars and synths. In less than a month, Everlasting reached 4K streams on Spotify alone. The artist is highly influenced by Taylor Swift’s style and by Phoebe Bridgers and Tate McRae. The production team included Brad Young of BKY studios as vocal producer and lead engineer, and Owen Korzec as producer, production manager, and marketing/PR manager.
