Proudly hailing from East London and her home town of Dagenham, Katie London made her debut back in 2017. Releasing singles until a hiatus in 2020, Katie embarked on a journey of musical and personal development. During this time, Katie transformed her writing with multi-platinum-selling songwriter Dele Ladimeji, honing her skills in the K-pop world.

Continuing to collaborate with a broad range of artists, IAMSU, Og Maco, Powfu, Qveen Herby and  Krayzie Bone, Katie built a resilience in her style that has flourished into an exciting 2024. Multiple EPs thanks to the Dear Me, I’m Sorry series, have sparked new life into Katie’s confidence and her future in the industry.

Katie London‘s most recent in her endlessly exciting return to artistry is ‘Memory’. Her extraordinary vocal abilities are put on show once again, embodying the anthemic pop artist whilst lacing her music with a deep and rich emotion. Thanks to her relatable lyricism and impressive tone control, you can feel the unrest, anxiety and chaos within Katie’s mind as she laments a lost love, stuck in the past and trying to break through and find herself again. This infectious energiser paired with a soft ballad is supported by perfect instrumentation, from the wobbling bass of the introduction to the delicate piano chords and the firm drum rhythm, it all drives the narrative towards a colossal climax, Katie leaving it all on the stage.

“‘Memory’ began as a simple piano piece and evolved into a soulful pop-rock love song,” Katie shares. “It’s about the journey towards closure and self-recovery, even when moving forward feels impossible. Whether it’s about a relationship or, in my case, a period when I thought I’d never make music again, the memory lingered, haunting and driving me forward. It’s a deeply personal reflection on my journey with music and the complex emotions tied to falling out of love with it. Music has truly been a love-hate relationship for me, yet nothing in the world fulfils me more than creating it. The lyrics may sound like a typical love song, but the true meaning for me is much greater.”
