DataBass released a new self-produced art-pop single “Make Our Art” on Spotify and SoundCloud on the 11th of November.
The young artist from Richmond, United States released her first independently recorded and produced song Make Our Art, an art pop song with themes of creation, heartbreak, and reverie.
The song is like an abstract painting, colored with the warm hues of the piano, and the cool blues of DataBass’s voice. Make Our Art is like day and night at the same time. It’s major and minor, happy and sad.
The production of Make Our Art has no more layers than it needs, and it uses few instruments to paint vivid soundscapes of tone color.
DataBass is currently studying Music Media Production at Ball State University with a concentration on Commercial Music and is aiming to compose for films and video games (according to the artist’s press kit), and with 8 years of production experience in pop, ambient, symphonic, and instrumental music, we may soon see her name credited in a video game or film release.
DataBass was able to artfully paint with sound in her latest release, and her newest fans here at Sistra are glad she keeps making her art. We’re excited to hear more from this promising young talent.
