Leeds-based synth-pop pair neontown have recently released their fresh new album L.A. Fame. Bringing infectious pop grooves and innovative, hyperactive synth design, the group draw comparisons to the likes of Charli XCX in their production and Years & Years in their vocals.
Jac and Aure, originally from Italy, bring their global influences to the album for a soundtrack built for festivals. Plucky, and heavily processed, but keeping a raw feel, their songwriting choices are always flourish into rich atmospheres.
Bold, synth-drenched and absolutely irresistible, the latest from neontown is a non-stop party that bewitches the listener in blinding lights and vibrant music, topped with a bit of nightlife romance.
“We wrote this album about our travels to California,” the duo shares. “It was such a magical, dreamy place and most of the songs are a love letter to California. It is kind of a manifestation album as well as we can’t wait to get some West Coast time again!”
