“With “Ogygie”, I wanted to explore the universal themes of lost love,” shared Mori. “The passage of time, and emotional stagnation, drawing inspiration from the myth of Ulysses and the island of Ogygia.
In this myth, Ulysses is held captive on the island for years, trapped in a relationship with the nymph Calypso. He loses track of time, unable to return to his true life. This idea of an emotional trap, where one is stuck between a past that cannot be let go of and an unreachable future, is at the heart of the song.”
