Minotaur by When Mountains Speak

‘Minotaur’ is the latest experimental piece created by ‘When Mountains Speak’. A showcase of clear musical inventiveness, ‘Minotaur’ is a 14-minute orchestra of weirdness, coupled with a Dungeons and Dragons inspired, AI rendered video, both creating an incredibly tense atmosphere that you can’t help but just get pulled desperately into.

American musician Steven Clarkson, also goes by When Mountains Speak, is an experimental composer whose tribal beats, atmospheric wailing pads, and off-kilter bass and guitar ad-libs all coalesce into a hypnotic tapestry of sound on ‘Minotaur’. A piece of music that’s incredibly hard to define, yet completely easy to get drawn into, ‘Minotaur’ is a harrowing piece of music that’s dark and challenging, yet totally addictive.

The Dungeons and Dragons inspired video would be a joy for the lovers of the legendary tabletop role playing game, with the music being a rightfully fitting soundtrack to the whimsical and fantastical nature of the themes the video and the game.

Most of the time I’m listening to music. When I’m not, I’m playing music. When I’m not, I’m thinking about doing those things.
