Ghanaian American singer/songwriter Nana Kottens released the acoustic folk-pop song “One More Chance” on 28/10/22.

The song is an easy-on-the-ear apologetic jam reminding me of artists like Akon, that talks about meeting your ex-girlfriend after a while and remembering the old memories such as in “I used to tell you my stories and my ambitions”, asking for a “One more chance” while reflecting his background in lines like “But I told you I’m from Ghana in west Africa”. The song is built upon a simple and melodic guitar line and simple beat providing the love-in-the-air vibe and helping the song an easy on-the-ear, closer-to-the-heart feeling. Accompanied by Nana’s emotional and expressive voice which gives the lyrics an impact on the music making the listener feel every word and relate to the song. While in the break just before the outro chorus while singing the line “can you tell your mama that and I love you babe” he sustains the “E” and breaks his voice a bit, adding more emotion to the words. The song is a definite listen because it’s very relatable and beautiful.
