Writing her energetic pop songs about ex-boyfriends and one too many situationships, London artist Posey takes inspiration from the likes of Dua Lipa, Lily Allen and Olivia Dean. Releasing two singles across 2022 and 2023, ‘Not A Long Song’ and ‘YOU’RE A…’, Posey showcased a blend of glittery modern sensibilities and 2000s pop nostalgia.

Now, the singer-songwriter has returned with a new track ‘SO SWEET’. Pulsating synths and the confident lead vocal are our first introduction to the track, though it quickly builds through rhythmic, four-to-the-floor drums and rich electric guitar chords. By the time the chorus rolls around, listeners are drenched in a gorgeous sunny atmosphere, with Posey introducing vocal chops and layers of harmony above the sleek grooves of the instrumentation. With infectious melodies from start to finish, it’s a great addition to a party playlist as summer comes over the horizon.

Posey explains the meaning behind the track, sharing, SO SWEET was written about that overwhelming/all-consuming/innocent first crush; one that drives you wild, that you can never take your mind off  and makes you act silly with puppy love. We tried to capture the happy nostalgia through very summery, vibes as created by the coolest, edbl who produced the track. He put his signature groovy/funky sounds and brought it to life so it feels so playful yet snazzy! I absolutely love this song and am so so proud of it!”
