One of Cork’s best, Sarah Hickey’s folk-tinged reflections have hit a new milestone with the release of her debut album Fastener. Intentional and full of feeling, Sarah crosses boundaries between folk, rock and indie in an effort to let her poetry rise to new heights across eleven tracks.
It’s in Sarah’s moments of elegance and restraint that she provides her most heartfelt delivery, she makes everyday stories cinematic masterpieces, bringing life to the simple moments, and finding beauty in every element. Sarah adds, “‘Fastener is a collection of songs I wrote based on my personal experiences and stories that have inspired me. It combines elements of folk, rock, and pop, drawing inspiration from countless artists and bands I’ve loved for years. Recording this album has been so wonderful and exciting. I worked with some brilliant and lovely people and I am so grateful for their time and talent.”
