Electronic singer-songwriter JULIENT will release his self-produced alternative dance single “Was It Obvious?” about a deteriorating relationship on the 20th of January from London, United Kingdom.
The groovy commercial tune of “Was It Obvious?” hides behind it a personal melancholic message of a souring relationship, as JULIENT wrote the song about an intimate relationship of his that gradually became more negative.
Nevertheless, “Was It Obvious?” is an uptempo, upbeat track with catchy melodies over a significant chord progression that makes you dance. The juxtaposition between happy chords and sad words is always something that is highly encouraged in pop music, as it gives these songs depth, and JULIENT quite nailed it on that front.
JULIENT’s discography currently consists of three tracks with many remixes featuring different artists on Spotify, with the fourth “Was It Obvious?” soon to be released. His style in electronic production is influenced by artists such as Depeche Mode and RÜFÜS DU SOL, and his inspirations come from his personal experiences and other artists.
The new single “Was It Obvious?” by JULIENT will be released on January 20th under the label Blanco Y Negro Music.
