Cross Dougherty, the North Carolinian producer and multi-instrumentalist just released his latest single “Transmission”…a dreamy synth ambient journey through mesmerizing sonic landscapes…

The synth world that Dougherty crafted with his synthesizers is a very well-built realm, a realm of evolving musical experiences.

“Transmission” is also a mantra, a trance in which the listener goes, to find himself in a very shiny and glimmering world, with passing clouds…moving slowly and changing their shapes as they go through their journey of self-evolution…

Dougherty wrote “Transmission” with a very specific mood and motive in mind, he wrote it as an homage to his father-in-law, Anthony Louis Acampora…and “Transmission” is the first part of four pieces for this homage…Acampora recently passed away after fighting fiercely with Parkinson’s and dementia for more than 10 years.

The whole emotional experience of “Transmission” is that of being lost, but moving forward, with some parts stuck in the past…but let’s keep going…and above all, it’s an open link, a connection between our worlds to always keep our loved ones near, even if they are far.

Dougherty, we wish you all the best in life, we can’t wait to hear about your next musical journey and get on board to experience the worlds you create with your music.

We’ll be on the lookout.

Cheers!
