Some photographs throw us back in time to our nostalgic eye-tearing past, for all those good times of our childhood. Well, how about videos? Those 90’s video tapes recorded of your childhood, bet you got one of your own that wets your eyes leaving your mind wondering about how your heart is yearning to run back to that home of your childhood when everything made sense.
The Canadian folk artist Cynthia Hamar released a mesmerizing track titled ‘Where Your Love Lives’ with an even more expressive music video that boosted the meaning and vibe of the track.

The track begins with a warm raw piano sound that is followed by a fingerstyle guitar soothing riff that puts you in the vibe on the spot as the music video shows real home footage of Hamar and her family that sends out a word that “Home is where your love lives”.
The music is somewhat joyful and playful. However, Hamar’s vocals are grieving and in despair longing for home and the nostalgic theme it casts. Though it needed to gain a bit more quality and eliminate the background noise that made it hard to clearly hear the notes and lyrics Hamar offers.
‘Where Your Love Lives’ is a soul-touching experience with very emotional aspects that resonate throughout the track and it pretty much reminded me of Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” and how emotional I always go just by playing it; maybe the home footage gets me.
I felt lucky to review such a track cause it personally touched my soul and reminded me of my childhood footage and how it felt like home back then when the ones that we loved were still full of essence.
Another track was added to my favorite playlist, don’t you want to add tracks too?
