Hozar by BAD BUBBLE

A purist, a musical-hearted artist, a visionary…these all hit the bullseye when describing Bad Bubble…an artist that creates electronic music, plays all of his instruments, everything is hardware…and a human with integrity.

He has a saying like this “To succeed and compromise, even when no one will know, is to fail. I bend that rule for no one.”…and I just love that.

His latest release “Hozar” also carries that much purity…it shows in its composition, arrangement, and engineering…

Bad Bubble also sings, but when he does that he’s creating a new voice, a new sound, a new experience for audiences to live in.

That is what makes him and his musical creations so unique.

“Hozar” is a slow burner, with strong storytelling elements in both its music and lyrics…from the start to the end, it is a story, a movie, and ends like one too.

…think TOOL, but hardware synths…in other words, perfection.

Bad Bubble creates music all day, all week, all year, with more than 160 songs and 16 albums…this guy is wholly and completely dedicated to creating quality musical experiences filled with poetry.

Wishing all the best to Bad Bubble, he’s breaking new ground and raising the bar regarding musical purity.

Cheers!

STIGMA ENIGMA by CLARE EASDOWN

Many songs out there are…just there…that’s not the case with the latest single from Australian artist Clare Easdown, “Stigma Enigma”.

“Stigma Enigma” is a song that fights for the people, breaking down the wall of stigma around mental health challenges.

Clare goes for a minimal approach that leverages every instrument and melody line…making a very unique approach to a fusion of shoegazing and pop filled with emotional storytelling elements.

Musically, “Stigma Enigma” feels excellent…it sounds excellent too, but it’s all in the feels.

Still to this day, mental illness is heavily stigmatized, and “Stigma Enigma” seeks to break down the solidified walls of that stigma.

Mental Illness is a natural human response to life and is common and many people suffer daily.

“STIGMA ENIGMA” acts as a safe space for those affected by it…and what a safe space this is, filled with emotions and a lot of love.

Clare’s smooth angelic is the cherry on top…creating a halo of light on the whole musical experience…which is not to be missed by anyone interested in the human experience and excellent music.

Wishing all the best to Clare…and can’t wait to hear more of her musical insights.

Cheers!

Beautiful Things by Red Skies Mourning

Red Skies Mourning latest single is a soaring love song with pristine pop production and a terrific vocal performance that will make you come back time and time again.

Emotive and touching, ‘Beautiful Things’ is a song about moving on into better phases in life, and it is also the title of Red Skies Mourning’s latest single, a cover of an original written by Benson Boone. Red Skies Mourning is made up of Chris Aleshire, singer and songwriter, and his cowriter Ryan Curtis. Based in Baltimore, Aleshire’s truly outstanding vocal abilities and his unique singing approach make ‘Beautiful Things’ an engaging listening experience from its humble piano beginnings all the way through the song’s multiple crescendos and high flying choruses.

A totally confident singer, Aleshire also knows how to create a musical blanket that fits his voice tight as a glove. ‘Beautiful Things’ is a crisply produced pop stunner that’s compressed and bombastic to delicious extents. An easy radio hit just waiting to be discovered, ‘Beautiful Things’ showcases a singer and songwriter totally in his element.

With pristine keys and lush reverb, emotive chord sequences and Aleshire’s woozy melodies, ‘Beautiful Things’ is a song that’s extremely easy to love.

Evil Eye by Alessia De Gasperis

Alessia De Gasperis’s impeccable grooves and guitar-based art/alternative pop is being wholly intoxicating on her latest release ‘Evil Eye’. Masterfully treated, a song with far more than first meets the eyes and ears, ‘Evil Eye’ is one attractive song.

Alessia De Gasperis is a singer and songwriter, based in Toronto, and she is a fantastic one at that. Her style is infectiously groovy. With spliced vocal melodies that coincide perfectly well with off-kilter arrangements and playful compositions, ‘Evil Eye’ is as stunning as can be. The song’s core, descending bass part sets the ominous tone on its path, looping until the song’s end, while the rhythm guitar’s juicy strums are funky, tight, creating a contagious groove alongside the gentle-but-deep drumbeat.

Alessia De Gasperis’s voice is sensational. Having put her voice on songs by Flume and Childish Gambino, De Gasperis is in no need for any kind of affirmation. Her treatment of the song’s few melodies ranges from looming lulls to soulful calls to playful croons, creating what could be seen as verses, choruses, and bridges, while maintaining a fluidity to the song’s hypnotic looping nature.

Alessia De Gasperis’s solo work is taking shape beautifully with each new release. A fantastically capable songwriter and singer who knows how to practice restraint, De Gasperis’s mature songwriting and lyrical prowess are matched by the terrific performances across the board, vocals to guitars, drums to atmospherics, as well as by the wonderfully varied, colorful, and danceable production. ‘Evil Eye’ is simply a joy to behold.

Album: Angel Hanaels Song by Karen Salicath Jamali

Karen Salicath Jamali, an award-winning composer, pianist, and multi-disciplinary artist, is here delivering a collection of conceptual, solo piano compositions that drip with a soulful lightness, an air of elegance and a haunting mystique. Inspired by her dreams, Jamali’s compositions for Archangel Haniel are an auditory sight to behold.

Based in Winter Park, Florida, Karen Salicath Jamali is a veteran of many arts, with music being her relatively new brainchild with a career that started only in 2015. Having found a passion to start creating music somewhere around an accident that caused head trauma and a near-death experience back in 2012, Jamali spent the next 3 years learning the piano after having never played before and emerged in 2015 a fully fledged musical artist. If that is not a clear indication of Jamali’s dedication and perseverance, then nothing is.

Angel Hanael, also known as Archangel Haniel, is the angel of joy, who serves as protector of souls, inspiring people to fulfill their purpose. Jamali composed Angel Hanael’s Song and set to record its 9 different chapters each at 5 AM, on her Steinway piano, before they got sent to Bryon William Harris, sound engineer and president of BWH Music Group, for mastering. The album is basically one song divided into 9 acts, with each act subsequently picking up where the last one left.

The music on the album is decidedly whimsical, with potent traces of inquisitive curiosity and melancholy. Jamali’s compositional style is easily emotive. Opting for pronounced melodies on top of wandering arpeggios of haunting chord sequences, Jamali’s music ends up feeling very potently stirring. If you feel the melody is bright, then the whole piece will be incredibly light and uplifting, and on the other hand if the melody carries a slight hint of darkness, then you’ll feel an ominous mood descending as the piece progresses. ‘Angel Hanaels Heart’, the album’s middle piece is an example of the latter, which is the far more prevalent mood throughout the 9 compositions.

Jamali’s pacing is impeccably uniform. The 9 compositions sound harmonious and uniform, not a moment too slow, or too rushed. A delightfully touching listen, and a pleasant introduction to a vividly colored world of a well-rounded artist, Karen Salicath Jamali’s music is well worth the time.

My Little City by PLANG

0

Padraic Lang, also known as PlanG, hails from Ireland and is a singer-songwriter. He recently dropped his newest single, “My Little City,” a track that captivates you to hit repeat, close your eyes, and immerse yourself in its melody.

PlanG is incredibly moving. He has a voice that truly resonates with your emotions. The only downside to My Little City is that it ends too quickly! I found myself wanting more. In less than 3 minutes, it effortlessly captures your heart, portraying the struggle of leaving home for a better life, a decision many can relate to. The song evokes the emotions of embarking on a new journey while always yearning for home. Let’s not forget the iconic music arrangement! The beautiful fusion of piano, saxophone, organ, and acoustic/electric guitars is meticulously crafted and truly stands out.

It’s not often I say this, but when I read what PlanG mentioned: “I would love this song to reach many listeners and maybe find its way onto a film.” I was taken aback! I could vividly picture it as part of a movie scene. Remember earlier when I suggested closing your eyes and listening? Well, I envisioned the destination I hope to visit soon – here in my country, Egypt, particularly the Sinai Peninsula with its stunning beaches nestled between mountains along the Red Sea. The view is truly magical, and I imagined listening to PlanG’s “My Little City” as I embarked on a new chapter in my life. Thank you, Padraic Lang. This was exactly what I needed right now.

Canon in E Flat by Raynald Grenier

The first piece on Raynald Grenier’s String Quartet Collection is his Canon in E Flat. The ceremonial and emotive canon melody meanders and expands on top of the sweetly rich timbres of the strings in a rare display of actually worthwhile, modern takes on classical music traditions.

A Canadian, based in Quebec City, Raynald Grenier is a composer and arranger who, after a long and prosperous career as a performing pianist carrying out countless shows across north America and Europe, has decided to settle down for a career of musical creation, with Canon in E Flat being among these stunning and faithfully classical creations.

Perhaps the most famous canon is Pachelbel’s universally beloved wedding anthem, his Canon in D, with Canon being a classical music format in which a steady and lengthy melody gets repeated, growing in scale and grandeur with each repetition, a form that allows the compositions to start relatively quiet and calm, before escalating gently into stormy and anthemic crescendos. Raynald Grenier’s Canon in E Flat is a wonderful canon at that.

With a core melody that’s easy to digest, and a sweet sound from the string quartet that carry the piece’s escalation in its different forms with grace. A beautifully composed piece of music that’s exquisitely delicate in sound and easy to love.

I Can’t Think (Spring Version) by BAAJ & BAAJ

0

Do you all agree that there’s a unique spring vibe that pairs perfectly with pop music? French singer-songwriter Baaj & Baaj brings us the incredible pop track “I Can’t Think,” blending indie, alternative, and contemporary sounds seamlessly. Let’s dive in for more details.

Baaj & Baaj is a solo project by the French musician Baaj, known for blending various styles in his melodic tunes. The track “I Can’t Think” has a medium tempo with steady beats and features emotive vocals that captivate listeners. Described as a “call of what we need” in the song verse, it resonates as a message from a loved one.

Baaj & Baaj’s music draws strong inspiration from the 1980s English pop era while incorporating lyrics that touch on contemporary life and issues. Their song delves into coping with hatred and the importance of authenticity. I resonate with Baaj’s message, “Carpe diem because life is too short to waste it.” Do you share the sentiment? Embrace the message of love and give it a listen below.

Senza Te by Pat Piperni

Pat Piperni’s latest single is a grandiose piece of operatic pop that sounds warm, romantic, full of hope, drama, and a distinctively Italian flair that makes every moment worth savoring.

‘Senza Te’ is the title of Pat Piperni’s latest single release. A musician and vocalist based in Canada’s Montreal, Pat Piperni’s Italian origins are of full and proud display on his latest piece of music. ‘Senza Te’ is a nice and lush piece of classically inspired alternative pop. Sung in the lushest of registers, Pat Piperni’s capable tenor is reminiscent of Andrea Bocelli and Il Volo, and his control, and feel is nothing short of astounding.

‘Senza Te’ has a very predictable backing instrumental, and that’s a big part of the deeply comforting sound of the song. The rich strings and conforming piano performance are not groundbreaking, and never had the intention of being so. Instead, ‘Senza Te’ is a song that sets out to be beautiful, sung in a style that’s universally admired, and written with conventional, emotive chords and melodies to maximize its impact as a heartwarming, romantic offering.

‘Senza Te’ is not here to challenge listeners. Instead, it is here to soothe ailing hearts and conjure some colorful nostalgia for a simpler life, and it does so with exquisite balance and grace.
