Chlorine Dreams by TIM LEA YOUNG

Tim lea young, a Scottish composer and artist based in Brighton, released a new single” Chlorine Dreams’.

You’d probably know Tim from his work scoring various films and making music for television shows, namely the movie “London Fields” by director Mathew Miguel Cullen and the TV show “This Is England ’90 “

The song really affects you, from beginning to end. It’s melancholic in nature, and for three minutes and twenty seconds, makes you start reflecting on everything.

When you hear Chlorine Dreams, you feel like the main character in a movie, waiting to make a hard decision. I applaud Tim for making me feel both forlorn and still, have a glimpse of optimism through his single. It’s no wonder Tim has garnered almost 7000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone!

Don’t Know by Kna lo venge

Kna Lo Venge is a Los Angeles-based artist and producer originally from New York. His work has been licensed for film and television, and he has shared the stage with giants like Prince and the WU-TANG CLAN.

Rappers in the early days of the genre were known for being candid about the experiences they’d had and the sights they’d seen. The words and the arrangement of “Don’t Know” perfectly captures these early elements of the genre.

What makes the track so intriguing in both lyrical and musical terms, is the nearly retro-style delivery that manages to create a captivating narrative. The track’s narrator, toughened by life’s trials, is a survivor who wants nothing more than to get out alive. It’s clear that the artist’s serious observations on the topic of having the desire and perseverance to attain one’s goals influenced “Don’t Know,” making it one of the track’s primary motifs.

This lyrically powerful and catchy song has the potential to become a classic, and it would be especially well-suited to a live audience due to its strong sing-along qualities.

The Gallows by Emmrose

It’s not usual for an 18-year-old to make her music and be successful at it, Emmrose started her musical career at the age of 14 and left her mark ever since.

In 2019 she became “the unofficial Queen of Teenage Heartbreak” with her released songs “Tonight” and “It Takes Me Back” which have both received great recognition and the liking of her fans and followers who have now reached over 10K on Instagram.

In 2020, her debut EP “Hopeless romantics” won Best Pop Album in the 2020 WAM awards. A lot of viewers, teens, and kids took refuge in her music during the lockdown in 2020 where she streamed her live music sessions online from her bedroom in New York.

At that time, she recorded and released her music with the help of her producer Mike Abiuso. She currently is a Groover obsessions Artist and is signed as a Secret Road Artist for sync licensing.

Her new release “The Gallows” is about a personal story that she experienced recently, as she was walking in the streets of New York she came across her ex-boyfriend with his girlfriend, he walked right past her with barely a glance.

An unpleasant feeling hauled her, and she felt a sting. The song is true, raw, and authentic. It starts with the sound effects of footsteps to explain and help visualize the situation better, the music is simple and calm as the focus is on the vocal line that is singing the story, she speaks to herself out loud and expresses her thoughts through it, such a beautiful and therapeutic way to deal with herself and process her emotions.

Synths, drum pads, and simple chords are introduced on keyboards along with a simple guitar tune.

The artist is following her musical path and has a unique sound like Taylor Swift, Halsey, and Billie Eilish do. We can wait to see what’s next for the brave and determined teenage singer.

Trying by Ceyeo

One of the things I personally thoroughly enjoy and seek in music is space. A space that defies a lack of conformity. That transforms the experience upwards, from the simplicity of a ‘song’, to the complexity of a ‘piece’.
Might sound overkill for this song. A shimmery art-pop number from Chicago’s Ceyeo. With all the pop sensibilities you can expect from a simple pop tune. It starts with the all-familiar chipmunk-y vocals that might put Sza or Demi Lovato in mind. And trebly trap drum grooves that could call any Drake song home. Just afterward the song truly opens up to great space.

The sound is purely Lydian, a musical mode that is used to create, typically, spacey and dreamy soundscapes. It is accompanied by a sharp and emotive vocal delivery from Poetic Justis that sits right in the center of everything and gracefully flows alongside the instrumentation.

The experience is very fluid. While the lack of a definite chorus or bridge or a distinct song structure can be confusing, through repeated listens it all sinks in. It’s a song that starts, then opens up to a piece of prose about a friend who’s there through difficulties, about the feeling of being discriminated or castaway, set to a backdrop of gorgeous strings that perpetually flow uninterrupted, together defining a syrupy space, uninterested in rules of choruses of bridges or else…

Perfect for a night drive around the empty city streets.

The Worriers By The Mars McClanes

After years of disappearance and going off-grid, The Mars McClanes are finally back to celebrate their 21st anniversary. After splitting up back in 2001, right after they released their 2nd album, the band members went through rough times and went in different directions only to finally reunite to pick up where they left off.

The trio band members are Russ Chapman on guitar, Paul Constantine on Drums, and Brian Corly frontman and vocalist.  Fans of The Black Keys, Spoon, and Wilco will relate more to the style and sound of The Mars McClanes. They like to play around with different styles and genres falling under the category of Indie pop/alt, rock/alt, and country.

They made their return in 2020 and released their first single in this new era “Riddle” followed by “The worriers”. The song emerged during the recording sessions at Southern comfort studio that is built in the basement of Waylon Jennings’s former Nashville home. The song is mainly about “Worrying” and how we let it get in the way of things in our life leading us to miss out on opportunities and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

It’s also about how we sometimes worry too much about our relationships and how they might end that we forget to enjoy them now while they’re still here. It later reaches the conclusion or life lesson of ‘embracing immortality’. The music is upbeat and cheerfully energetic. The drumline is significant and contributes to the musicality of the song with a stable and consistent guitar line.

“In Life, we screw up. But in the end, most of our regrets will be the chances we didn’t take.” The Mars McClanes

Evolve By Hannah Drew (_Hazel)

The ever-sweet 16-year-old Hannah Drew, who goes by the stage name “Hazel” just released her second single this year ‘Evolve’. A beautiful and sweet high schooler who has had a passion for music since she was 3 years old, she started her musical journey early on and participated in musicals and performances at school.

Her mother helped her start by playing the piano and then she expanded her musical skills further to vocals and guitar. The artist became fascinated by songwriting at the age of 13 after watching Grace VanderWaal’s performance on AGT, that was when she decided to take lessons in music production and take her music to the next level.

Her songwriting aesthetic Is mainly influenced by the likes of Taylor Swift, Dodie, AURORA, Hozier, and Chloe Moriondo because of how relatable and authentic their lyrics are.

“Evolve” was written and produced by the artist herself, along with the instruments played and the sound effects used. She recorded it in her own bedroom using Logic pro and her own recording gear. The song starts with a beautiful, vibrant vocal line along with an acoustic guitar vibe, a simple and personal sound which was later elaborated on with a drumline sound effect, keyboard sound playing chords in the background, and eventually the sound effect of a virtual choir accompanying the female vocals. It’s mainly about the artist’s crush whom she couldn’t summon up the courage to talk to; she felt scared to approach her and tell her exactly how she felt.

With 2 single releases this year, “Evolve and “inner self” and more to come, we wish the artist a successful journey ahead given her strong passion and determination.

In No Time by King Kruzader

1

All the way from Canberra, Australia; King Kruzader, a skillful rapper, songwriter, singer, and guitar player just released his new single “In No Time”. He started releasing his music officially in 2019, and in the same year, he won the starlight music competition. He later performed 3 gigs on Sydney’s main streets: George and Oxford Street.

He even once opened for Mitchos and Menace in Canberra ACT. He is influenced by various artists like Stormzy, NF, and Australian rappers Bliss n Eso. The song emerged from a personal place and a painful experience the artist went through; after being hurt a lot by the same person, he had to stand up for himself, resulting in losing that person, leaving the artist sad and that’s when he decided to let go of his old self and felt reborn.  “In No Time” was mixed and mastered by Kojo Ansah (Citizen Kay) and recorded at Ansah Kay Studios. The song starts and ends with the same strings sound effects and melody, the vocal line is purely fast-paced rap that requires remarkable skills and control, and the same melody stays throughout the song in the background with synths. King Kruzader is releasing more music soon and we’re excited to hear what’s next.
