Through The Jazzy Clouds by INTERGALACTIC C

0

“Through The Jazzy Clouds” is the latest musical trip from Hamburg-based artist Intergalactic C…and as the name suggests, the track has some strong dreamy-above-the-clouds experiences…let’s see how this journey feels like…

Intergalactic C is a German artist that has music all over the interwebs…you’ll find him on Spotify, Youtube, SoundCloud and also on his own website…” Through The Jazzy Clouds” is actually one song from his new album “Deep House Brazil”, which has 8 songs…and this is but only one of them.

Intergalactic C always aims to deliver catchy tunes wrapped in an enjoyable musical experience context…even the naming of the tracks and the albums looks like it has a lot of minds put to it…and that takes us to “Through The Jazzy Clouds”…by just looking at the name you’re already sucked into the world that Intergalactic C has crafted…you already get the feeling of something dreamy and over the clouds…and you’d be right!

The track is an instrumental one, but with minimal vocals and some vocal elements acting more like musical instruments and put exactly where it needs to be…and with the reverbs and delays on it, the vocals sound even more and more like an instrument.

“Through The Jazzy Clouds” starts with a bass riff that is the core of the experience…and for that to work, this melodic bass riff has to be extremely catchy, groovy, and earworm…I don’t want to spoil it for you…but yes, it is super catchy…sorry, but you’ll still need to hear it for yourself to get hooked on it like I did!

The music has strong dance elements too, it’s not all above the clouds and dream-like…actually, the dreamy part is a portion of the experience, and the other part is the dance beats, percussion, and saxophone solo…yes, there’s one and it’s absolutely beautiful.

“Through The Jazzy Clouds” manages to fuse two opposites, perfectly balancing the dreamy and the lively upbeat…and it does that in a very interesting musical experience.

Intergalactic C, we wish you all the best in life…we can’t wait to see what you have next for the world.

Cheers!

another sad night, under moonlight by HIKARU HIDAKA

0

The newest release from experimental electronica producer Hikaru Hidaka weaves an alien soundscape with an intricate layering job of processed vocals and borderline atonal ambiance for purely hypnotic results.

Based in London, Hikaru Hidaka is an electronica producer unlike any other. Specializing in creating experimental soundscapes, they return with another piece of testing music that will require some horizon-expanding for it to sink in. Hypnotic and mesmerizing, ‘another sad night, under moonlight’ was inspired by the literary classic of the 18th century ‘The Sorrows of Young Werther’, given a fresh gown of electronica. The sound is defined by the scratchy and eerie lines of densely processed vocals, twisted to sound like static waves, this effect gives the whole piece an unsettling effect that will make or break the song for you. We think it is an incredibly inventive experiment that yields positive results overall. The sparkling piano lines are almost lost in time and space, making the song’s harmonies and melodies intangible, but creating an immersive atmosphere that will suck you in, and keep you hooked.

This latest cut from Hikaru Hidaka is unlike anything we’ve been hearing. It’s like Hikaru Hidaka possesses a different musical sphere than the one we’re all sharing, and what they do is impart their alien tastes in a tasteful assault on our ears. We love it, and we think that given a second to grow on you, you will too.

Our Love by GRACE & MOJI

Husband-wife duo Grace & Moji drop a heartwarming video to accompany their single ‘Our Love’. An ode to their lasting bond, a warm piece of music is made warmer by a delicate and tasteful video.

Based in Los Angeles, Grace & Moji are a musical husband and wife duo whose sound, entrenched in alternative pop, is articulate and loaded with colorful detail. On their first drop, also the first single from their upcoming studio album, Grace & Moji are coming in hot with their romantic metaphors and expressions of affection. But instead of sounding old fashioned or syrupy, as one would expect, they manage to create quite a delectable mood that’s populated by the grandiose, Coldplay-esque rhythm strums, sensational vocal harmonies, booming sub-bass, and the equally terrific vocal performances from both Grace and Moji.

With dramatic progression, and a crisply modern mix that does not shy away from its bombastic tendencies, the song is reminiscent of the larger-than-life sound of The Temper Trap. But with the haunting chemistry between the two lead singers, creating a complementary male and female vocal harmony, the sound of the chords and the mix is elevated and the duo is set distinctively apart.

The video, a collage of real-life footage of the couple with scenes of an autumnal countryside, is beautifully shot and edited, the colors of the shot scenes give a consistently warm vibe that goes well with the affectionate real-life clips from the couple. All in all, ‘Our Love’ goes way further than being just another love song. A stunning work of sophisticated pop that is truly heartfelt.

EP: Night Sweats by MAGZ

0

Personal experience is a never-ending well of inspiration that keeps on giving…and this is where MAGZ found a door to that well…the result…her debut EP “Night Sweats” a very real and pure musical and lyrical experience for all audiences.

MAGZ is based in New York City, USA…and from there she crafts sonic experiences that mirror her life experiences, and her story and serves as an inspiration for all people about the resilience of the human spirit.

MAGZ is releasing “Night Sweats” with 7 songs…

…this journey is a genre-bending one…

Don’t expect to have a straightforward and easy journey here, this is both deep and mountainous…let me explain.

“Night Sweats” will not abide by just one genre…and MAGZ will not shy away from deep emotion…she will share her pains and her wins…MAGZ will put herself vulnerable front and center and will share her life stories.

From the lo-fi intro of the first song “For Good”…to a more downbeat electro experience with “Quicksand”.

…going through the experience of “Night Sweats” you’ll come across ethereal and dreamy soundscapes with “The Memory”…but you’ll also come across a more energetic experience when you check out “I Don’t Like You At Night”, it’s got the energy to it scattered within its 3 minutes…

The last song of “Night Sweats” is titled “Beginning”…which in itself is a very interesting choice of naming…but after you’ve been through the EP I bet you’ll get the idea.

The concept is about going through pain but starting again and being able to live life…and the last song here is the exact representation of this concept…after everything that has been said and done, we’ll rise up once again and live.

“Night Sweats” by MAGZ is a highly recommended musical and lyrical experience that no one should miss.

MAGZ, we wish you all the best in your life…and we can not wait to see what you have next for the world. We’re fans.

Cheers!

Paati Yah Suh by MEDY LEMA

0

Summer is upon us…and it is the season to enjoy the upbeat, lively dance music and song to get our summer groove on…there are many summer songs, but few are the real stand-outs in that realm…and today we have one of those stand-outs, it’s Medy Lema’s “Paati Yah Suh”.

“Paaty Yah Suh” is the newest single off of the UK-based Medy’s self-titled album and it is a very upbeat, fun, and catchy summer party song, fusing between reggae and R&B elements…that’s rhythmically, melodically, and performance wise, it fuses the two genres together in the smoothest of ways…and let me highlight something here…it also keeps the original soul of both the reggae and R&B elements and wraps them in a nostalgic 90s summer feeling.

While “Paaty Yah Suh” sounds a bit nostalgic, it’s also got a modern twist, especially with that super punchy kick and synth bass in the chorus.

The vocals here are the highlight of the experience…

Lead vocal performance oozes charisma…

…with harmonies too…

Backing vocals are absolutely lovely, both female, and male, and group vocals in the background make the song exceptionally rich and full.

One of the surprising aspects of Medy Lema is the fact that he recorded everything in a Manchester home studio together with his co-producer Fac3.

Medy also had some time in the limelight with his appearance on BRIT Awards 2013 alongside Conor Maynard. He also auditioned for X Factor in 2016 with good reviews from judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger & Louis Walsh.

Medy also performed at many events over the years, both carnivals and

festivals across the country that include the Liverpool SoulFest, Manchester’s Mothers Against Violence event and he’s also known for busking in major UK cities.

Medy is currently touring the country as part of his ‘Farewell’ busking tour.

“Paati Yah Suh” is all about having fun in the sun…and it hits home with almost all audiences… it only took 20-30 minutes to complete from start to finish in their studio…that’s quite amazing.

Go and check out Medy Lema’s latest single “Paaty Yah Suh” and enjoy your summer parties.

Wishing Medy all the best in life.

Cheers!

Secret Place by FRANCHÓN

0

Out of the boxing ring and into the recording studio, world-renowned boxing diva Franchón is taking her unique energy and charm to the music world by releasing a single titled “Secret Place” along with 4 completely unique re-imaginings of its essences with 4 remixes.

“Secret Place” starts out with an abundance of energy from the first second, the groove here hits hard and hooks the audience instantly…boxing puns unintended.

Franchón is an already extremely established athlete and public figure…and it is understandable that with this kind of winning mindset, nothing could be far out of reach… this is literally what Franchón has embarked on…creating another fan base in another realm outside of boxing…and Franchón did it…with more than 55 thousand monthly listeners and tens of thousands of streams.

“Secret Place” chooses the dance/pop/electronic genre as its weapon of choice, deciding to go with high energy, groovy beats, and many, many melodic vocal hooks to lose yourself in.

The song is produced by the highly esteemed American songwriter and producer C-Rod at Miami’s legendary ‘Criteria Recording Studios’, it’s obvious that “Secret Place” was put in the caring hands of a highly experienced producer that made sure to hook the audience from the first literal second of the song.

Everything sounds top notch…

Vocal melodies capture Franchón’s unique charisma and display it at full power…

The choice of sounds is even catchy…

Franchón’s performance here is quite unique…it sounds modern, yet with a little tiny bit of nostalgia…it feels like the song would react to your current mood…if you’re in an upbeat and lively mood, you’ll take the experience as a modern dance/pop one…

…and if you’re in the nostalgic realm, you’ll sense the old-is-gold nuances in the melodies, beats, and production and will get a warm nostalgic dance feeling…

“Secret Place” is Franchón’s debut single and it releases in advance of her fight against Savannah Marshall at the AO Arena in Manchester, televised by Sky on July 1st.

Jumping back to the studio world…Franchón’s “Secret Place” releases alongside 4 remixes, with 4 different and unique flavors…

…you have the ‘until dawn’ remix with awesome percussion and some epic brass sections…

…the ‘brixxtone remix’ with a more focused electronic vibe to it…

…the ‘lamentis remix’ another electronic-centric but with an edgier undertone…

…and the ‘slim tim remix’, a high-energy pop dance take on the original…

If “Secret Place” is Franchón’s debut single, then we’re in for a treat…if that is Franchón’s debut fight in the music world, then we’ll have the world champion in no time.

Franchón, we wish you all the best in your personal and professional lives…we can not wait to hear what you have next for all your fans in all the realms that you’re doing amazingly at.

Frayed by JANE ALLISON

0

Jane Allison’s second single off her studio album ‘Like Magdalene’, a song called ‘Frayed’, is a triumphant affair of folk rock that comes loaded with soaring pads, an intricate composition, and Allison’s haunting voice and words.

Singer and songwriter Jane Allison hails from Bath in the United Kingdom, and her sound can be safely described as a significant nod to great folk names from the 60s and 70s, but with a modern twist. Names like Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez can probably be traced back to, the hunt for the influences of ‘Frayed’. From the Baez-inspired intricate acoustic arrangement to the valiant melodies and stoic vocal delivery that harkens back to Mitchell’s golden days in the late 60s, ‘Frayed’ is a tasteful mix of timeless folk sounds.

With empowering lyrics that call for action against traitors and cheaters, a wake-up call from the slumber of deceit and betrayal, we found that the music could just as quickly be a wartime morale booster as a gentle, strengthening embrace for someone who has been cheated on. Leaning on lush vocal harmonies and rich pads to create a misty, dense texture, the song’s busy-sounding arrangement and particular choice of chords make the music stand out as inspired by the folk-rock of the 60s, and the distinctive vocals drive that point home even more.

‘Frayed’ is an illustrious display of lyrical and musical prowess from Jane Allison. A capable collection of a unique singing voice and style, and an ear for scenic soundscapes that paint detailed paintings using colors and textures, ‘Frayed’ is a sweet second taster from a sublime album.

Me Nd Adam drop sophomore album ‘American Drip Part II’

0

Me Nd Adam began with a pair of friends who found each other in the throes of nihilistic debauchery and breakups. The world turned its back, Adam and Vince turned to music. Known to their fans for their heartfelt anthems, their accessibility, their merch giveaways, and their rambunctious behavior, Me Nd Adam are the original trash-wave trail-blazers.

The beginning of the Austin, TX based duo started in 2020 when lightning struck for their single “Heartbreak Kid” which quickly garnered over two million streams. The success attracted the attention of darkhorse Las Vegas-based indie label, Handwritten Records. After signing with the label, the band went on to release a string of singles leading up to the release of their debut album American Drip Pt. I (ADP1). Rock icons The Killers gave ADP1’s single “The More I Grow Up” a nod, shouting out the track on their social media. Unprecedented support from The Killers’ fan base led to arena opening slots for Me Nd Adam in Dallas and Austin. The mentorship culminated with a direct support slot for The Killers’ 2022 New Year’s Eve party at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Now, Me Nd Adam are unveiling American Drip Part II (ADP2). The sophomore album lays claim to a new musical identity for the project, folding their many beloved influences into a sound that is uniquely their own. The duo share, “On the music side, we made an effort to utilize more organic instrumentation, dialing back the electro-pop elements that decorated ADP1. For each song, we developed an individual sonic thumbprint, in some cases a specific sound, like the Juno-106 in “Who’s Gonna Want Me Now?”, in others a defining guitar tone, as in “Runnin’ on Fumes.” The overarching idea was to operate with intent.”

While eclecticism remains a tenet of their project and they continue to incorporate elements of Americana, alternative rock/pop, and country, they don’t want their influences and their musical conventions to guide decisions within each song. “In ADP1 they were driving us; now we are driving them. To put it another way, ADP1 was an exploration; ADP2 is an expression of what we found.”

Lyrically, ADP2 revisits themes from the previous album, including heartbreak, love, hope, dissolution and disillusionment, unifying them with a throughline — a focus on relationships. If ADP1 was about the self, ADP2 reaches for the other. The duo confide, “Our songwriting process involves confronting a serendipitous but often savagely unmanageable existence and finding solace in putting it into words, speaking with specificity from a particular place and cultural moment. It imagines an audience of seekers, like-minded and only slightly embittered dreamers, still yearning for love, transformation, and harmony. Many of us haven’t found what we are looking for, and most of those aren’t even sure what that should be. ADP2 offers a soundtrack for the quest.”

Sonically, Me Nd Adam‘s sound is reminiscent of classic American songwriters like Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen with a contemporary twist of alternative rock and pop production. The band’s influences range from Willie Nelson to Meek Mill, Jason Isbell to Blink-182.

Me Nd Adam has recently appeared at SXSW and Austin City Limits Music Festival, Shaky Knees Music Festival (Atlanta), and Float Fest (Austin). During ACL, the group sold out Antone’s Night Club, Austin’s most iconic venue. They have also garnered support from prestigious media outlets including The Line of Best Fit, Wonderland Magazine, Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, American Songwriter, Atwood Magazine and Earmilk, to name a few. Hot off their largest national tour yet, spanning 23 cities, Me Nd Adam are entering their next chapter with their sophomore album, American Drip Pt. II.
