Running by Moody Mac

0

Moody Mac just released his latest single “Running”…a melodic genre-bending song that talks about running away from a toxic relationship that is toxic, even though you might even know that there is love in your heart for that person, but even so,  you have to let go.

Moody’s philosophy of musical expression is all about self expression and the reason for pursuing passion and living the dream.

He is based in Munich, Germany…and he experienced a lot of moving and traveling when at a young age and he even says that this experience might have affected his way of expression…and he actually moved from expressing himself from hip-hop, to rap, to rock, to punk…wherever he feels most comfortable telling his stories through music.

…and that is evident in his latest single “Running”…Moody starts his story with a hip-hop mood and then Moody flips everything on its head and jumps into a more rock song…

The fusing between both hip-hop and rock is giving us very fresh vibes, it’s nothing we’ve heard before and it’s something very new…kudos to Moody for giving the audiences something like that.

Speaking of this fusion…Moody has some also mixed influences that includes lil wayne and paramore…and that makes sense…combining Moody’s background while growing up along with his musical influences, that gave us Moody’s unique musical flavor in creating tunes and fusing genres.

Moody recorded “Running” at a studio near Munich, Germany and purchased the instrumental producer Kisses Beats…who did a great job of capturing the mixed influences that Moody likes to create his art with.

Moody, we wish you all the best in life, you’re giving the world a unique take on music and song…can’t wait to hear what you have next up your sleeve.

Cheers!

Tongue Particles by Sebastian Clarin

0

After his debut album “Arial Cuts”, Sebastian became the talk of the town, making huge waves and splashes like a tsunami…and now he’s back, he can’t stop making music and he’s hungrier for more with his latest single “Tongue Particles”.

Sebastian hails from Stockholm, Sweden…a land that gave the world so many great musical memories…very melodic memories that span many worlds, from the world of rock to pop to indie and everything in between.

Sebastian worked with producer Tobias Isaksson from ‘The Future Sound of Stockholm’ (Azure Blue, Nite Flights) to create a musical journey that captures the essences of raw unfiltered electropop and synth while taking nostalgic moments from the 80s and fusing everything together…creating a unique yet familiar experience…and that’s “Tongue Particles”.

The song has a true and raw direction with strong synth arpeggios and heavily affected vocal performance…it feels retro, yet modern…this is one of the strong points for sure that “Tongue Particles” has…it also has the melodic point to it…

The melodies and background music are both produced with high quality standards in mind…Tobias captured the essence of what Sebastian wanted to convey to the audience and they both worked together to make something extremely solid.

“Tongue Particles” has a huge wall of sound of synths, with many ambient elements lurking in the background…adding flavor and depth to the experience.

Sebastian also has a unique vocal delivery, it makes him a storyteller and an actor besides being a singer too…I can only imagine this song being played live…it has this feeling of ‘it has to be played live’ to it.

The experience that Sebastian gives us with his latest single “Tongue Particles” is an electronic storytelling one, something you can enjoy hearing, something that you can move to and something ultimately very enjoyable.

Wishing you Sebastian all the best in the world…we’ll be on the lookout for new projects, can’t wait.

Cheers!

EP: Into The Woods by RedanFox

0

RedanFox just released a 7 track EP, culminating his talents into one powerful pop album that takes you all over the emotional spectrum…in an unusual and most exciting way…

RedanFox takes no shortcuts, he’s an all in kind of artist, what you see is what you get…no autotune, he’s vulnerable and out there making excellent music.

With the release of his EP “Into The Woods”…it feels like he’s put his whole being into this project…and this is what i’m getting, ‘cause it might be one of the best pop albums in recent years…

The EP starts with an intro track, a storytelling brief, told in a storytelling performance, like he’s on the stage and welcoming us into this little fairy tale that he’s crafted and created for us…

“Once Upon A Time” is the first track and it’s more of an experience than that of a song…and it did put us in the perfect mindset, getting ready for whatever comes next…

…going into the second track “The White Key & The Black Note” a pop song with blues influences and guitar licks…along with a hip-hop style beat and percussion section…but with some great musical moments made possible by the piano and some amazing scale progressions…and some stage-like performances…a great one here…the vocals and music are perfect for each other…

Moving further in the album we get the third track “It’s All About It”…an amazing modern sounding take on the best of what the 70s gave the world…the constant and steady piano notes along the drums, it’s a powerful driving force laying the foundation for the really great vocal performance from RedanFox…the vocals are great, from many points of view actually…

…the performance, the flow of the words and how it’s laid out on the music and cut like his, just a shockingly good song…there’s a twist at the very end of the song…and it’s like RedanFox is continuing the story that he started in the intro track of the album…I’m loving his kind of fusion between story and song…

“Same Damn Thang” is the next song…and it starts out with a 16 bit kind of SNES sound…then right into the song with a retro sounding synths…it’s like we’re moving not just moving from style to style, nope, it’s like we’re moving from one world to another…

The retro nostalgic drum beats are extremely enjoyable along with the synth licks…perfect.

…I think if you listen closely you’ll even hear some SNES sound effects from some games…I’m loving this.

Next trip is “La Credo”…a song in French, RedanFox’s native tongue, he’s actually based in Paris!

“La Credo” is a french hip-hop/pop with some great bluesy music and piano licks…

The soulful song is accompanied with a synth brass solo that hits all the perfect spots.

So far…all the music in RedanFox’s EP is some of the best that I’ve heard put into one album.

This takes us to the last song…or two songs in the EP…let me tell you why…

The title album song “Into The Woods” has 2 versions here, one is the original one and the second is the “Gotham City Version” of “Into The Woods”…

Starting with the original one…

The song is a pop dance hybrid…and once again with great vocal melodies and more pop focused direction and production style.

The highlight here is the vocal melodies, some of the best you’ll hear this year.

…along with the vocals, the guitars are also persistent and shining in this one.

“Into The Woods” has a couple of instrumentation transitions that keeps things fresh…that was a very smart decision.

…now onto the “Gotham City Version” of “Into The Woods”…

It’s a beatboxing acapella song…and it’s more darkly produced and remixed…

It also comes with a music video…

The music video is professionally shot and features the artist Black Note, rapping a couple of bars near the end of the song…just smooth flow all the way, original and classically flavored.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed the experience that RedanFox has presented with his EP “Into The Woods”…it’s a highly recommended one for sure, can’t even recommend it enough…go check it out right now on spotify and youtube for the music video…

RedanFox…we wish you all the best in life, you deserve it and a lot more, you’re very special.

Can’t wait to hear what you create next, we’ll be on the lookout.

Cheers!

Crazy by Carson Ferris

0

Carson Ferris just passed the 11 years old point in his life…already, he has songs out there. “Crazy” is actually his third song in 2023 alone…and it has quite the story behind it…it’s a banger.

Carson hails from Provo, Utah, USA and he’ll be releasing “Crazy” on the 16th of June…we got a listen…and we’re hooked.

Such a ‘wonder’ boy from an early age, with an extreme abundance of talent, Carson really challenged a lot of stereotypical ideologies so he can get his latest release “Crazy” out…

For a young man of his age…making songs about love might be…not the normal, so he did “Crazy” which sounds like a love song, however, it’s about his relationship with music…and that’s a very smart twist.

…if you listen closely to the lyrics, you’ll get the feeling that he’s making it for someone, but in fact, it is for his love of music…I love that.

The song starts with Carson’s vocals already soaring…so you think….how is he going to top that intro, but he does it…easily…the verses of “Crazy” are on the subtle side, and build up from there into a more pop rock and in the anthemic ‘na na naaaas’ of the song, the energy goes full rock…powerful, energetic, upbeat, uplifting.

The pop elements of “Crazy” are super catchy and reminiscent of the hit songs of the 90s…my favorite period of music…the age of catchy, that’s what I call it… “Crazy” continues the trend of the 90s of making excellent songs, musically, lyrically, and something that really hooks you and takes control over you to keep repeating this song.

We wish all the best in the world for Carson, he’s already making huge splashes with his amazing talent…and we can’t wait to hear more from him.

Cheers!

ALWAYS by Onbar

0

As human beings, we are limited and vulnerable; no matter how hard we try to deny or act otherwise, this is just a solid fact. However, we’ve been created this way because there’s a bigger, almighty power that works through our vulnerability and meets the needs we can’t provide for ourselves. You might disagree if you’re not a believer, but anyone who has been at the bottom of darkness and pulled out by God and then was able to pass through any hardship with faith will surely understand what I’m saying and will highly relate to Onbar’s latest single, “Always,” which is his soulful testimony to his Christian faith.

Onbar is the moniker of Troy Tuan Truong, a sensational singer-songwriter from San Jose. Along with Orion Song as co-vocalist and writer and Patrick Hizon as a producer and writer, he drops music that can touch souls with its musicality and themes.

“Always” is the sound of serenity that comes when an ethereal peace spreads in one’s heart despite the world’s chaos. Even when the song progresses and the instruments and vocals become more zealous, there’s a soothing sense due to Onbar’s sincere writing and delivery.

The acoustic-driven instrumentation builds a graceful atmosphere that goes perfectly with the theme. The percussion adds a different flavor of spark, and the chords sound warm, like returning home safely. The vocal delivery is genuine and poignant, with Onbar’s vocal line being melodic and sentimental. His voice, along with the backing vocals too, is what brings all the pieces together and makes one feel as if they’re praying each lyric with them.

“I prayed to God one day to help me make a song that would tell my story and experience in putting all faith and trust in Him.” Said Onbar. And that’s how you can seamlessly feel connected to the song. The lyrical content is relatable to anyone who has experienced the difference between being on their own and letting God enter their life. It’s inspired by the biblical verse from Isaiah 41:10, which says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” And every element of the song gently asks God for assurance about keeping the promise.

Take a moment away from everything and embrace the tranquility of knowing that God has your back through the heartfelt melodies of “Always.”

More ‘n More by Baaj & Baaj

0

The latest release from Baaj & Baaj is a warm and rich single with eloquent lyrics, that blends Baaj & Baaj’s eclectic influences of Brit-pop and new wave in a guise of modern production.

Based in the town of Cognac in France, Baaj & Baaj is a one-man project who has lately been causing some ripples with his releases, amassing a healthy number of streams on platforms like Spotify, with his songs boasting a fresh mix of sonic influences that got him more visibility with time.

His latest release, titled ‘More ‘n More’, follows suit with the rest of his quirky drops that got him involved in more than twelve gigs the past year alone. Featuring snappy rhythms and a wealth of keyboards and synths, playing a musically dark composition, the mix is then wholly filled with Baaj’s vocal delivery, hearty and colorful. The song’s lyrics revolve around a couple expecting a bright future together, and they are bound to put a smile on your face with their optimism and soul, that’s obviously heightened by Baaj’s heartfelt vocals.

‘More ‘n More continues Baaj & Baaj’s trend of dropping pieces of quirky music that sound like very few other artists around. With his ongoing trajectory, Baaj & Baaj is only just about to finally achieve the attention he deserves.

Come Back To Earth by Advika

From Boston, USA, Advika takes us on a journey that spans the whole universe…exploring sights never seen and sounds never heard…a journey you wouldn’t want to end, even though this journey is titled “Come Back To Earth”…but we want to keep going on and on…

Advika is a very well-established artist, with talent and hard work, Advika studied at one of the most prestigious music universities in the world, Berklee College of Music, and majored in electronic music production…

Her talent speaks louder than anything else…

Advika has been awarded with several high caliber awards before including the ‘YoungArts awards in Jazz Voice and Songwriting’…and she’s just starting…she’s 20 years, but her talents exceed her age by lightyears…

“Come Back To Earth”…if it’s to be described…it would be painted as a cinematic sci-fi electronic lyrical experience…and if it doesn’t make sense, check it out now…you’ll see for yourself…

The song starts with a very cinematic ambient sound…and after maybe a third of the song, percussions come into play…Advika kept the song for the first part as subtle and lowkey as possible…only to take us deeper and into a more risky territory along that journey…

One thing that is also extremely obvious…Advika’s vocals…mesmerizing, and angelic…a soul-lifting emotional experience that you shouldn’t pass on, definitely highly recommend it.

The sonic qualities of “Come Back To Earth” are of the highest caliber, it was produced by Advika and mixed/mastered by Will Holland… an excellent sound experience by these people…

We wish Advika all the best, she’s a stunning talent and we can’t wait to hear what she does next.
