In Your Eyes by Lucy Clue

The German-based with Italian roots, indie musician Lucy Clue shares a track titled “In Your Eyes” with us today, with a special character and a special history.

Rapper, writer, and composer Clue draws inspiration from her very own life experiences and the lives of her best friends. If you find the idea, write it down and make the appropriate music for it.

In her song “In Your Eyes,” she talks about the most special things two people can share, but she puts them into beautiful and appropriate avatars when she can’t stop thinking about them.

Clue says of her song, it’s a particularly important date for her because one of her sisters has a birthday on August 4, and also the sister of Eddie Vance, the producer who shares it, They wanted to give a gift to their sisters…so this song was.

The artistic diversity that this wonderful track brings is special, as it is inspired by the 80s and 90s. In it, sweeping sounds enter futuristic structures laden with synthesizers in abundance, meeting a chorus laden with the deepest pop explosions. It ends at the tempo of Latin rap permeating into the Spanish language, which makes it super cool.

Although strongly nostalgic through synth-pop flows, there is a dialogue with the contemporary that runs subtly along the track through simulated modern influences.

Lucy Clue’s songs will transport you, take you far, and guide you through a journey of self-love into a world of strong mentality, experiencing romance, love, and some heartbreak and failure, to learn how to face the bare truth. Are you ready? And if you are, start listening to it.

Low-Resolution Entity by Vampire Liver Therapy

0

Will music exist after the apocalypse? Well, music will never die, yes. But what will it be like? Vampire Liver Therapy might know.

He is John Cumsille, a Chilean Electronic music mastermind with a very particular brand, that I’m tempted to dub Apocalyptic Rock, or if he might prefer… Transhuman Rock. This album is ‘Low-Resolution Entity’. Part 1 of a double album experience. The album deals primarily with Transhumanism, a philosophical and intellectual concept that proposes that humans can develop beyond their current physical and natural limitations, especially via the means of scientific progress. This concept can conjure into the listener’s mind one of only two images, one is of a prosperous future where humans beat cancer and defeat aging and are granted long painless lives. The other is of a barren wasteland where humans have turned feral in their endless pursuit of more power. If you’re normal, both images will equally freak you out… in very different ways.

The genius here is how Cumsille perfectly crafts those monuments of sound that are equally horrifying and awe-inspiring (in the way post-modern discoveries and inventions like Neuralink can be awe-inspiring). Thick, hammering, unsettling pieces of industrial/alt-metal. Unflattering and relentless. The drums are perpetually distorted and heavy-handed, brutally compressed. The music is almost entirely composed of rhythmic synth stabs, entirely devoid of color and beauty. Perhaps the most memorable aspect of those pieces though is the voice. John Cumsille howls over the 12 songs like a depraved maniac (with all due respect)… Singing bone-chilling narratives and haunting lines in the most tortured and twisted manner, truly conveying the image of humans, post-humanity.

The twelve-song journey wasn’t an easy or a swift one. Full of disturbing lines, sounds, and vibes. I can’t say I especially enjoyed it, personally. So, naturally, I won’t suggest that it’s for anybody to enjoy. But on the other hand, no one will be able to deny the genius behind this collection of sounds. The genius in conveying an image as purely as it is conveyed here. The genius in jettisoning beauty and color in favor of loud clangs, sheets of rough, unpolished metal and deranged howls. One might feel concerned for John Cumsille after listening to these songs, but I will argue that if he deals with his day-to-day life with as much lucidity as is portrayed on this album, then he’s totally and completely fine.

22.22.22 by Lexxi Vonne

Lively, light, playful, danceable, pop and electronic, and retro-futuristic, these words help define Lexxi Vonne’s new solo track, “22.22.22”, which continues her production career in London, where she lives, a professional sound and electronic music producer.

Vonne has dazzled us with her music over the past year with absolutely amazing beats. Its often-somber tones, accentuated by strong rhythms, are the result of many years of musical exploration and inspiration. So her music is always full of passion, darkness, joy, and victory. And you can feel it in the powerful introduction of “22.22.22”, which will change the mood of your day and push you to a better visualization through its unique and creative way.

“22.22.22”  begins with beats of specific frequencies, solid choppy, accompanied by graceful bass. There’s a touch in the background that mixes something retro and futuristic at once. A feeling of nostalgia from the beginning of the track reminds you a bit of what appears in Quinn’s songs. but it’s very suitable for playing at parties, festivals, and clubs, and maybe a modified version of it as well in the future.

“22.22.22”  makes us discover how much we missed the ’80s and ’90s vibe, the music was so strong in dance, pop, and electronics, we can admit that this track saves this era with touches and influences that take us back to those years.

Vonne has managed to make us roam the streets of the past with our eyes closed and headphones over our heads, wearing those clothes and sneakers of the time, it’s nice. Check out her music and listen to her because she could have a place in your daily random playlist.

Pan Dulce by Ruto

0

Riding at night, entering a tunnel with a cigarette in your mouth, blowing out the smoke while blowing out words that will never be said, and probably will go down the grave with you.

A psychedelic album musically is being introduced to us by Ruto from LA, USA. Releasing his Indie Pop album “Pan Dulce”.

The album consists of 10 tracks, each has its theme and also language. Some tracks were in English; others were in Spanish. The diversity of language in the record granted a multicultural vibe giving the album a deeper touch.

the first track “No Repeats” starts with a fingerstyle guitar smooth sound and then is mixed with a joyful and dreamy melody and rhythm. The second track “Fine Tune” kicks off with a slight lo-fi hip-hop theme but then jumps back to the original sound of the album which is keyboard melodies and fingerstyle guitar notes.

The same applies to the third track “Shallow Thought” as Ruto is preserving the overall atmosphere of the record by adding the melodic nostalgic tones to the track.

The fourth track “Another Try” begins with a melody that is close in sound to Daft Punk‘s “One More Time” in a playful, silly manner.

It’s almost like Ruto divided the album into a CD1 & CD2 and made every CD have a distinctive theme and vibes. Whilst jumping off to the fifth track entitled “Every Step” but holding a different kind of theme, with less melody in it and more seriousness in terms of sound and of course lyrically more conceptual and having a deeper meaning.

The awesome nostalgic, brain-tearing intro exists in the sixth track “Si Lo Sientes” which translates into “If You Feel It” having mesmerizing guitar tunes. And same applies to the seventh track “Go Alone” as if Ruto decided to give the keys a break and relied more on guitars.

The eighth track is “Todo Lo Que Hago” translated into “Everything I Do” holding emotional vocals and Spanish-themed guitar and percussion.

Coming off to the ninth track titled “Mundo Entre Mundo” translated into “World inside World” and here you could feel the dots are connected between the smooth guitar riffs and the keyboard soft melodies in “CD1”.

And the final track entitled “Commentario” has a bohemian theme from guitars to vocals and keys. It’s like a fusion of all elements and concepts in the album.

The album is a great brain traveler and an exciting companion in search of some soulful music. “The music and art reflect a variety of introspective thoughts that goes into a bold explosion of sound and color. The various emotions explored by the artist, Ruto, vary from somber melodies to anthemic ballads of dream pop, bedroom pop, indie rock, and soulRuto stated.

I was listening to this album feeling somehow heavy, but out of nowhere I felt that I was dragged to a world solely created by the record that I forgot about what was bothering me. It threw me away to a different place and made me jump into a completely different mood.

The vocals in the record need improvement, sometimes vocal notes aren’t high enough to compete with the high notes of the instruments. Also, it felt at some certain point that vocals are out of tone and vocal key. It sure needs development.

But all in all the record is worth listening to in a manner whenever you might feel empty inside or somewhat lost, this is the place you might want to visit.

Santorini by Glass Lord

When we hear the word “summer,” we all envision our favorite summer destination: days at the beach with family or friends, sunny mornings, and dancy nights. What if Santorini is your summer destination? The best Greek island for a summer vacation. There is no need for a passport, to leave work, or even to move a finger. Glass Lord’s latest single, “Santorini,” came just in time for summer and will take us there.

The single’s summery vibes will take us to Santorini, but the single’s sound will take us on a ride through Glass Lord’s influences, as he grew up in Switzerland and France and was inspired by the European EDM scene, and then moved to the US, settled in LA, tried out more genres like Hip-Hop and RnB, and now his sound is a blend of the music scenes he drew influences from, resulting in his own sound that we can clearly hear and enjoy in “Santorini.”

For almost three minutes, the pulse flowing through the track by the energetic beats will make your heart powerfully vibrant. It’s an easy-listening song, easy to sing along to, and should definitely be on your summer playlist. Glass Lord has managed to paint a bright picture of what a perfect summer vacation would be like with his fresh a thin air lyrics and its affection ambiance, spreading both light and loving vibes in the air. He has created an escape from the daily hustle with the upbeat melody, dynamic Tropical House, and bullish vocals, offering us a salty, dreamy, and perky vibe that we can enjoy every time we play the song.

A recommended method for bringing summer vibes into your room is to just hit the play button and it will flow naturally.

The Mindful Cherub by Timothy and The Apocalypse

0

There’s a common thought that Electronic Music is only suitable for parties, festivals, and most kinds of celebrations, because of its dancy, vibrant beat. But that’s not true. Talented producers have taken EDM far beyond that, blending it with other genres and producing their own vision that gets to convey a variety of sensations and create their own realm. Timothy and the Apocalypse took EDM and especially House to his own arena, creating cinematic soundtracks that are not limited to some bumping beats, but set up an atmospheric, celestial state of mind.

Timothy and the Apocalypse is the alter ego of Timothy Poulton, an Australian creative producer. What distinguishes his work is that he does not set boundaries or adhere to a specific genre. A piece like “The Mindful Cherub” allows us to see how his creative mind works and to fuse House with Psychedelic and cinematic ambiance without feeling pushed.

“The Mindful Cherub” was originally released in 2021 as a part of the album, “Future So Bright.” And on April 1st, 2022, Timothy and the Apocalypse dropped an EP of three different remixes of the track, collaborating with 9 Theory, Floating Pyramids, and The Time Meddler. It’s incredible how each one of these artists has succeeded in adding their own touch to the track, giving it organic vibes.

The first version is 9 Theory’s Remix, and it kicks off with a little spooky intro that entices you to delve into the adventure he’ll take you on. The hazy vocals, which exist in the original track too, add more mystery. The midsection with the calps alongside the percussion is the most vital part amidst the psychedelic vibes.

The second is Floating Pyramids’ Remix, and I believe that right from the start, it became my favorite. He clarified the 60’s psychedelic sound and carried Poulton’s cinematic vision, making the track feel like the background of an intense scene, and adding the raspy male vocals surely helped to give this impression. You’ll just feel both vocal samples whirling around your head.

The last one is The Time Meddler’s Remix. I see it as the most vibrant one with its energetic drops. The vocals are clearer in parts here, with a melodic tone. It’s a track that you can get uplifting vibes from and feel as if you’re levitating.

If you close your eyes while listening to the EP, you’ll find yourself in a movie of your own creation, and each track of the three will drive a different scene with different feelings and atmosphere.

Love, Luv, Lov by BTAV

Brandon Tavernier is a Baltimore-based producer who started making music in 2015 with a strong fan base of almost 20K listeners every month on Spotify ONLY! He believes that his uniqueness lies in his music and its incorporation with his origins and looks. Travis says, “I feel like I offer a unique spectrum being African American and making the style of music I make because not many who look like me, make the music I do”. It’s unfortunate how artists still feel the need to explain how they broke the imaginary “barrier “placed by society in affiliating certain genres of music with appearances, diversity is the key to coexistence and where the beauty of humanity lies.

“Love, Luv, Lov” is a Tech house song with a pop nature that keeps it trendy and fresh. It’s about finding “The one” and experiencing all the crazy and intense emotions that come with it. It’s a light, fun track that’ll keep you moving and energized without using heavy electronic sounds, he uses more subtle instruments instead like strings and trumpets which gives it more depth, musically. The song was produced in the artist’s bedroom and went through several takes to come to its final stage. Tavernier’s advice is “Be Unique, Be Weird, Be YOU”.
