All You Need by Ericky

An angelic voice from heaven has come upon us. Ericky Stallworth is a devoted individual from Greenville, US who released her first original single, “All you need” on the 12th of April, 2022. Her voice is so smooth and anthemic that it gets you at ease with her singing voice, which wows her fans and sends you to cloud nine. Being independent in making a full single as her messages reflect a life fully lived in a relationship with God.

Ericky’s choice of words in this song is so simple with the assurance that God is always there to help and put your mind at peace. She simply inspired these words out of the bible as she sings, “All you need is God’s grace and mercy. All you gotta do is pray. I promise you he will make a way. Don’t you worry? When you think you’ve done all you can do, when you got no one else to run to, The Lord will fight for you.” As she posted this part of her song with a video that has a quote from 2 John 1:3 (KJV): “Grace be with you, mercy and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.” Through her skilled songwriting, which was shown in this single, she has inspired her followers.

We would love to learn more of Ericky’s feelings and praises through her music. That would help each one of us to dig deep inside, with prosperity and pride. As this world needs more of this kind of music for our disturbed hearts and minds. Her harmonic singing voice has spread the kind and smooth love that’s needed and more. God bless her soul.

Take Me Home by Moon and Aries

It has become very challenging to develop a new musical idea, let alone an entire album, especially after the last 2 years when anyone can make their music in a few minutes while sitting on their couch. This Duo on the other hand took creativity to a whole new level and came up with a new GENRE! ‘Synth-pop Opera’ is a new genre that Canadian singer and songwriter Jordana Moon came up with along with German electronic synthesizer musician, songwriter, and producer Tom Aries.

The genre combines the elements of the groovy and catchy pop genre with the complicated art of layering synths sound and still sound good while adding the dynamic theatrical trait of an opera, all combined to create a musical adventure and an experience that you’re unlikely to forget. Each of the artists comes from an extensive musical background with lots of experience; Jordana composes her music while using a variety of instruments like piano, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and violin.

her compositions and lyrical concepts are based on a higher level of consciousness while incorporating her philosophical ideas into her music. She is mainly inspired by Jazz, the 70s and 80s soul/pop/RnB, and artists like Eliza, Joni Mitchell, Lauryn Hill, and others. Tom on the other hand who has been working remotely with Jordana, is a classically educated pianist who was influenced by the synthesizer sounds of the 80s.

He mostly composes instrumental tracks, analog, and digital synthesizer sequences. He has a long discography of compositions for computer games, soundtracks for films, and videos. He is influenced by the likes of Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Kraftwerk, and others.

They released their debut album “The Arrival” earlier this year, and it has received positive feedback and huge recognition that it played on more than 40 radio stations in Australia, Europe, Africa, and America.

Their latest single release “Take Me Home” is a part of their new EP “Paradise”. The song is a hit that it’s already been played over 42K times on Spotify only. The song is almost entirely based on synths and electronic instrumentation, but I assure you it is not what you expect. It’s neat, subtle, and very detail-oriented that some lines will confuse you whether it’s an actual instrument or just a sound effect.

Its starts with a simple melodic motif which is the base of the song and is maintained throughout and everything else is built upon it. A variety of sound effects and synths will appear throughout the stages of the song, between drum pads, keyboards, strings, sci-fi-like sound effects, and others. Jordana’s dreamy voice compliments the orchestration and layering of these sound effects, creating a beautiful, unique and professional sound.

Sailin by Jack Goldstein

After years of working in the music scene in England with various projects, Jack Goldstein is releasing his latest solo album “The world is ending, I Love You”. In this 13-track avant-garde album, he decided to invite his friends where they can collaborate with him on a project that is so personal to him.

There are vocal parts in different songs from Aiden Canaday, Blanca Regina, Cameron AG, Charlie Hannah, Clementine Blue, Georgie Hurst, Jimi Tormé, Jonah Falco, Mark Bandola, Max Blansjaar, Max Levy, Wayne Waterson, Zahra Haji, and Fath Ali Tehrani. There are also instrumental part contributions from Ben Walker, Chinor Silber band, Jack Harris, Jamie Hyatt, Tess & Harry Goldstein, and Xav Clarke. Along with random voice messages from Jonah Falco, Jordan Ruble, and Kyri Tsappas that are personal and private giving us a glimpse of what the artist’s world is like.

Apart from his solo career, Goldstein also is part of the Jet Ski world duo band, Dream Division, Jade Hairpins, and an occasional country show on Margate radio station. He is touring across the UK for shows promoting his new album and sharing his music and passion with a large crowd of people who are going through the same emotions he is.

The album is an outcome of personal experiences, traumas, and struggles the artist went through those past 2 years; between lockdown, overwhelming emotions, and both his parents’ passing during the pandemic, Goldstein processed his grief and emotions in the way he knows best, through his music. “Sailin” is a combination of avant-garde, unexpected elements and sounds combined creating a hyper pop, bizarre, expressive sound. It’s not a sound you will come across frequently.

The album was mastered by Dean McCarthy at ATCM Mastering and was released by Beanie Tapes who released a limited-edition double cassette tape. Check out the artist’s Instagram account for info on his tour dates and the album launch show.

Interview with Kubota

0

Kubota is a Japanese-American musician, rapper, and composer who
lives in Los Angeles. Kingsford is a music producer and percussionist.
He creates tunes like Lofi Hip-Hop and Jazz Hop, working with a wide
range of musicians. “Thank You” is a joint work of the two of them on
Kubota’s latest EP, Zen, after collaborating on an earlier release called
Sequel in 2021.

When did your awareness and interest in music begin?

I used to play the piano when I was really young but I was never into it. A bit later,
my dad showed me a few chords on the guitar and I just took off from there. I was
probably in elementary school at the time. From then on, I knew that I loved
playing and writing music, and that interest just grew and grew as the years went
on.

Can you tell us about your first music project? And how did it come to be?

My first ever music project would probably be when I formed a metal band and
called it The Trees. We were just a couple of middle school kids who enjoyed
playing and writing music. That band was renamed Carlyle in high school but
unfortunately, we broke up once everyone went off to college. I stayed back and it
was around that time that I started making my hip-hop beats which turned me
into the artist that I am today.
As Kubota, I believe the first official project I made was an EP called Outlier EP that
I created it during my time at Musician’s Institute. I still sucked at rapping so that EP
isn’t on streaming platforms but you can probably find it somewhere online.

What are the motives for the “thank you” song?

I knew I wanted to write about something related to “love” when I first heard this
beat by Kingsford.
Initially, I wrote the second verse first and it sort of turned into this breakup-type
song. I felt that there were too many breakup songs that are bitter or sad so I
wanted to write about relationships that didn’t end with resentments, anger, and
negative emotions.

How was the cooperation in working on it?

It was pretty straightforward. I think Kingsford and I have some good chemistry,
both as friends and artists so it went very smoothly. He sent me a few beats, I
chose a few out of them, wrote lyrics, and then shared my work with him. And
that was that.

After the last EP got 120,000 accumulated streams, how do you see that?

I’m very grateful. I really started pushing my music at the start of 2020, and I never
thought to achieve the milestones that I set for myself. It feels good! And I’m
really thankful to see the fans and listeners that happened to come across my
music enjoy the new song.

“This is just the beginning,” you said regarding “thank you.” Tell us what’s
next, then.

We’ve got more music! I also have some music that I produced myself coming as
well. I’m planning to have stuff released consistently until the holiday season.

Have you encountered difficulties in your work during the recent period? Have
social relationships inspired you to submit another work, such as “Thank you”?

No, not really. I’m actually pretty contempt with my social life. While the subject
matter and emotions were pulled from past experiences and relationships, I’m not
really going through any sort of difficulties at the moment.

Thank You by Kubota and Kingsford

With a soft overlap between HIP-HOP, Lofi Hip-Hop, Jazz-hop, and US Rap style singing, the music artist Kubota and producer Kingsford offer us a great piece of art they called “Thank You,” in a collaboration that is their second after an earlier release called Sequel in 2021.

“Lots of songs on the same topic, but Kubota and Kingsford offer you something different, saying that “this song is just the beginning.” It is a charge of positivity, self-esteem, and experiences that we gain through relationships, even after the end, or when they end, meaning that all relationships should not end in anger and hate. But maybe with “Thank You.”

Losing beautiful prospects” did not prevent them from admitting that the experience and the attempt to win love were worth everything. And in words that carry a great deal of romance that implicitly expresses the end of the relationship, it takes you over the clouds that were the source of this love but were not written to be lived.

A painting in which the color of romance is mixed with the color of regret and the color of wishing the best to the partner is the song Thank You, which can dance to its regular rhythms and its idyllic sentences drawn primarily at sunset, but perhaps this time alone with their wishes for you the best days.

Interview With J.Juice

0

If you are a fan of Rap and Hip-Hop, particularly Puff Daddy and Dr. Dre, you’ll find yourself digging J.Juice’s sound. J.Juice has it all. He is a businessman, a rapper, and a producer who’s currently based in Columbia, South Carolina. In his songs, he aims to create a dancy, positive, inspiring atmosphere. He recently released “Poppin”, which features Big Krux. And he’s with us today to tell us more about himself.

1- How long have you been making songs? What drew you to this part of the world?
More than 10 years and what drew me was how music can make people happy, make them forget about their problems and I wanted to be part of that.

2- Tell us about your first musical project. How did it work?

It was with my friend Zakee, we did house music and then we created this group Dem Boiz and made bootie music

3- What is your inspiration as you create your projects? And why?

With so much negativity in the world I get inspirated to make dance music so I and my fans can have fun

4- Has your family history influenced the composition of your songs?

Yes, my mom always plays Merengue and salsa which is fun, so I make fun music too.

5- What difficulties do you face as a music maker?

Doing everything yourself or with a small team.

Don’t miss Poppin review here.

6- What are the most important issues and problems that interest you and address them in your projects?

The most important issue is violent between our communities and I giving them a way out from their daily problems with fun music. I never seen somebody dancing trying to start a fight most of time is the person not dancing or not having fun that start trouble.

7- Can you walk us through the writing process of your latest single, “Poppin”?

Our artist Big Krux had this idea about a song about how successful we are and how we deal with sex, so he brought the Idea to Zakee our Producer, and he made a beat for it then they brought it to me, and I love the idea, so we went to the studio and recorded it.

8- Take us behind the scenes of your collaboration with Big Krux.

Working with Big Krux I had to step up my lyrical skill because he is one of the best Rappers in the Carolinas and seen him how he delivers in the first verse of Popping you can see what I’m talking about.

9- Do you have new projects? Or are you currently working on something?

Yes, Zakee and I just finished the first Reggaeton Dance Song in the Carolinas “Let It Rip” is Coming June 24th

10- What can you say to your fans?

Get your dancing shoes because I have more dancing songs coming and thank you for supporting me.

LEMONADE by Wotts

0

A lot of things tend to gravitate towards being “indie” nowadays. Indie shirts, indie cafes, indie films, and most certainly indie music. Not to label it in a derogatory way or anything, but being independent is certainly a very admirable way to go about doing your thing. But in traffic jam, good “indie” can get lost in the noise. This song, though, should be kept and remembered.

From Ottawa is Wotts, our artist for today, an indie rock and pop band with a hot new single for the summertime… “LEMONADE”. A rich and lush pop gem about not giving up on your significant other when things go dark every once in a while. Suitable themes in time for the upcoming summer days.

What immediately sets the mood is a very quirky synth line that plays a liquid-y note stab arrhythmically, throwing us off and making the whole vibe slightly off-balance and energetic. The warm mix is a definite point toward the genuine indie-ness of the number. Roomy and tight drums meet bouncy bass that plays minimally but with definite expertise. The keys build an atmosphere that’s life-size and took me to an era that I have never even experienced, maybe the 80s? The vocals feel cyclic, and a distinct repeating melody isn’t easy to recognize thanks to all the idiosyncrasies from the keys and the rhythm section. This, along with a chord progression that seems to move freely all over the place, all lend themselves to creating a vibe that’s essentially how it feels to run on hot sand at the beach before going for a salty dip in the sea, free, vibrant, alive, and extremely fun!

Wotts definitely won me over with everything in this hidden treasure, and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us for the winter.

Poppin by J.Juice

In a short 2-minute 30-second ride, rapper J.Juice takes you along with his friend Big Krux in a Limbo, and drives you through the streets of Columbia, South Carolina, where he is currently residing, and entices you to get addicted to his latest release, “Poppin.”

When you hear “Poppin” in the company of J.Juice and his friend, you’ll find yourself waiting for the hydraulic assistants to suddenly work to make the car jump up and down because J.Juice plays with his music and lyrics in between entertaining and impressing the audience to create explosive tracks.

If you are a good listener and lover of Rap and Hip-Hop, especially Puff Daddy and Dr. Dre, you’ll find yourself following J.Juice’s tracks. Today’s song is lively, and its lyrics are a powerful indication of his skill in creating light and subtle rhymes, underscoring his superb musicianship as well as his ability to tempt you to dance wherever you are with his blazing beat.

A bar like, “Really glad to be here, self-inflicted,” shows that J.Juice believes in himself and translates that to you smoothly while he speaks confidently about everything. As you find in “Poppin,” he appreciates his presence in life, tries to enjoy it, and pursues his dreams and desires. He does it on his own, so be like J.Juice, but only after you listen to him.
