Party Politics by A_SHES

In his upcoming single “Party Politics” emerging Malaysian artist A_shes dances us to the beat of his anxious heart inspired by ’90s pop music mixed with synth-pop tunes.

An experience that A_shes had on a tumultuous night and painted into a dreamy landscape that you can see from the first sentence, and put within a gentle and serene path, reflects the difficulties of becoming a young adult during an epidemic and trying to find your place for yourself in a whole new world.

“party politics” His music can be described as a mixture of nostalgia in a lively, ethereal setting. The compositions are soft and harmonious, and the chilly beat despite the beats of fast beats makes you feel like you’re in a hammock spinning at a soothing speed that the cool air touches your skin so softly, A_shes deservedly give us a deep listening experience!

I can’t help but confirm that this track, co-produced with Palestinian producer Imad Salehi and written by A_shes himself, keeps you in a machine-created trance within a cloud of mixed emotions like fear, love, and loneliness mixed in a way that amazes you.

A_shes nicely tingles you to flow into your body a feeling that understanding is a good thing and we have to limit it, so I think this artist will be very useful in the future so don’t hesitate to wait for his releases.

Don’t Make Me Sing by Justin Llamas

Justin Llamas is back with a new single, “Don’t Make Me Sing,” an emotional pop ballad about the burden of performing while experiencing internal anguish. This song is dedicated to those of us who had to pretend nothing was wrong to get by.

Justin Llamas is one of the most prominent YouTube cover artists in the world today, with over 20,000 subscribers and 4 million views. Using YouTube as his platform, Justin has amassed a substantial fan base and has received feedback from the musicians he has covered. As a result of his popularity, Justin has also entered the film and television industries. After receiving praise from L.A. Reid, Terry Lewis, Jimmy Jam, and Babyface for “Gold,” Justin demonstrates with this latest single that he is capable of surpassing anyone in his field. Even though the young musician is still developing his skills, this track is his greatest yet.

Through his emotionally driven and passionate vocals, Justin Llamas expertly conveys his vulnerability, determination, and soulfulness. In this song, Justin addresses difficulties navigating the numerous masks he must wear to keep things going while still struggling internally.

He sings portions of the verses in a deeper tone, which emphasises his emotional fragility. It has a lot of soul; mesmerising melodies that stand out; and a clear element of honesty in the way the song is written, performed, and arranged.

In order to connect with the listener, a pop/R&B song must have dynamic production, soulful lyrics, and a dose of genuine passion, which most pop/R&B performers seem to overlook as an essential component of composition. On the other hand, through song-writing, Justin Llamas chooses to centre these aspects in his music, which is precisely what makes it stand out.

The Empathizer (sha na nah) by Prince Joely

0

Prince Joely is a psychedelic artist based in Portland, Oregon. His latest release, “Empathizer (Sha Na Na),” is a breath of fresh air amongst its contemporaries thanks to its wholly original sound.

The tune is both written and produced by Prince Joely and features an energising and fresh vocal performance by Mariya May as well as psychedelic guitar soundscapes by Mo Douglas.

The vintage, retro-futuristic style that Prince Joely employs gives the impression that it propels the listener into a new dimension of existence.

He possesses a psychedelic and hypnotic sound that will give you the impression that you are going on a voyage into the depths of your own subconscious.

There is an intense focus on each and every component and detail of the melodies. The track incorporates a wide variety of sounds, some of which, in theory, shouldn’t be able to coexist with one another. However, in practice, these sounds are able to work in perfect harmony and generate a unique atmosphere for the song; this is where Prince Joely’s talent shines through.

Loyal by Johnny Kulo

An Indian artist based in Berlin “Johnny Kulo” is currently hitting it off pretty easily by producing his recordings spontaneously with a creative skillful mind that was discovered by himself in songwriting and manifest in his music, he created a new single “Loyal” on the 24th of June, 2022. This song is briefly soulful with a mix of R&B, Johnny cracked the combination of the modern music with his soft voice and resonating lyrics.

This song came out talking about loyalty and he expresses himself through the lyrics of this song, He mentioned that “I was just talking stupid, talking about tryna stay loyal but having too many distractions in my lifestyle. The whole song was written as I was recording it”.

Loyalty isn’t an easy thing to do while having a lot going on in someone’s life that might get you out of shape in your relationship, “You know I’ve been tryna stay loyal, You just wanna make me put it on ya, Why you tryna make me swerve, Shit I guess I never learn.” The lyrics of this song explain a lot about what Johnny is expressing to his fans and how he wants it to be delivered.

Johnny adds in his soft dreamy voice and the music that keeps you engaged. He shines for the passion and intensity of the performance he puts out there with his romantic and heartbreak songs. When choosing and creating his beats on “Loyal” and how it flows in your ears is a calm feeling that will never leave your mind as if you’re high on the music that he produces.

Moonlight by Young León

0

We all love a song that can take us to a specific time or a place, but when music is able to transmit a feeling, that’s how you know peak emotional delivery and artistry have been reached. The latest release from Los Angeles-based independent artist Young León is entitled Moonlight, and it tells the story of a road trip gone wrong with your lover.

The song is just under two minutes and has a rich beat that changes tempo nicely and reeks of summer beach party vibes. The level of processing on the vocals makes them sound haunting and moody. The bass sound further enriches the catchy qualities that the vocals bring along. It’s easy to say that this song was intended to be a summer bop or filler track in a pop album, but it carries its own weight so well.

The most pleasant element here has got to be the song’s lyrics and how they move you with their story. The setback, in my opinion, is the song’s short duration left me wanting more of the dancy hook because it stuck with me. It seems like Young León knows how to entertain and create a soundtrack for a party or a rave with the alternative pop compositions he and Charcuterie make together. I expect to see this track do well on the charts as its creativity and likability make it more catchy than most commercial pop we hear these days.

TERRIBLE THINGS by 7KY feat. Avonlea

If I could describe this song after I heard it, I would say that it “put me to a psychedelic state and I felt my head spinning with the music and the vocals”. This is simply “TERRIBLE THINGS” the new song of 7KY-based Las Vegas-based producer, composer, singer, and writer who collaborates with the soft voice Avonlea.

“TERRIBLE THINGS” is atmospheric from start to finish, released by independent record label Good Society. In the voice of 7KY and Avonlea, they tell the story of two free spirits who live beyond the limits of reality, leaving all the horrific things behind and “Nice to meet you”, to begin their journey to swim in outer space and their singing is as melodic and heavenly as you can imagine.

With its enchanting swirling tunes, 7KY has succeeded in composing something we would love to hear more from in the future. But there’s only one thing that makes it not so good, that “TERRIBLE THINGS” is very short at 2 minutes 14 seconds, which is why you’ll have to listen over and over to try to capture the same feeling that struck you the first time.

“TERRIBLE THINGS” has something similar to Nathaniel Hawthorne’s book “The Scarlet Letter.” The heroine fights to regain her dignity in a hard-line society when she feels disgraced by her sexual indiscretions. However, the heroes in “Terrible Things” are not bound by that stigma, because they are the type who have sex and others despise them in public but secretly desire it, they meet and see themselves in each other immediately.

It seems like 7KY is an artist who likes to let his fans want more of him, so it wouldn’t be surprising that we waited, and you will be doing yourselves a lot of damage and loss if you don’t listen to “Terrible Things” through a good pair of headphones.

Red Skies Mourning by Red Skies Mourning

Red Skies Mourning is a solo project for the singer-songwriter, Chris Aleshire, releasing his debut album of the same project title, an orchestrated set of tracks plus 3 brand new tracks.

“Red Skies Mourning” 8 incredibly versatile, dynamic tracks bring blaring synth-pop acoustics and EDM sounds, plus the impact of Aleshire’s lyrics and tone that takes you to the heights of harmony.

The project’s three new tracks “Dreamweaver”, “Sands of Time” and “Summer Shines” give a deep indication of Red Skies Mourning’s musical path, along with the song “Lost Without You” which can be considered a good space in which Aleshire shines with his voice.

The track “Deep Moonlight” opens the album with four repetitive piano notes, and clouds of ecstasy and incredibly alluring. The second track, “Dreamweaver” has an infectious groove and quiet verses with acoustic bass, while the chorus has some synths that shine like stars due to their vocal harmony.

The mood with Paralyzed 2.0 changes from dreamy skyline to paranoid, but gravity, electric surface and some intriguing rumbling sounds as harmonies perfectly express emotional angst.

“Lost Without You” feels right to it, but it’s a catchy song with an upbeat pop energy that easily highlights the album’s message. It is a love song with lyrics that can frustrate you but combined with the music creates a fun and wonderful track that can make anyone dance.

The electric vibe continues with the “Sands of Time” track along with some amazing sounds that will make you move your head and body to the beat. From party energy we go to the racy stories with the track Where You Been, an experience about being emotionally unavailable and the ill effects it has, it also delves into the nature of relationships and is inspired by the retro ’80s soundtrack. The penultimate track “In The Moment” has subtle guitar lines that hide just beneath the song’s independent surface and it’s a fine precision.

“Summer Shines” concludes this record with synthwave music and amazing nighttime energy. We hear robotic sound effects along with beautiful acoustic melodies and foot-tap drum beats.

“Red Skies Mourning” co-written with Ryan Curtis and produced by Cesar Da Emperor, successfully immerses the listener in the rhythmic feel of Daft Punk and the sensual melody of The Weeknd. And Aleshire’s vocals added a bright power that gave each track a beat in an atmosphere of excellent synth-pop making listening to it an exhilarating experience, making “Red Skies Mourning” a musical journey into the realm of dreams.

Album: Frontmirror by Blind Spot

Jazz.

Jazz, historically, is a shapeshifting genre. Over the decades, it took multiple shapes and guises. You have for example, the overtly experimental and theoretical styles of John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk. Designed to be difficult to get through and challenging to perform, a statement to the immense talents of the musicians. You also have the pleasant, moody, and vibrant styles of Bill Evans and Miles Davis. Which is a school that favored music that is musical and approachable while retaining the notorious theoretical dimensions of the genre, thus creating music that is enjoyable by a far wider segment of the population. Other styles include the watered down and the Jazz-only-in-vibes, among others.

But where does Jazz actually lie? And what is Jazz exactly? A subjective question at best, divisive at worst. I’d personally suggest that Jazz is free. The freer the music is from the constraints of what Pop music happens to be at that certain time, the more “Jazz” it will become. To do that you might need a certain toolbox to un-pop your music. (1) Dry, alien, and biting guitar tones that snap when you dig in deep and remain crystal clear when you’re being gentle, (2) a present bass that’s mixed just right to be pronounced, and (3) drums that boom and crash and fill the entire room with their natural reverberation.

Blind Spot comes from Düsseldorf, Germany. And Frontmirror is their debut outing. A sprawling, hour-long foray that’s truly and purely Jazz. All over. From the get-go, 40 seconds into the first composition ‘Without a Choice’ you can easily tell that this is a professional product from experienced and passionate musicians. With a proud guitar that sounds as warm as it is cooperative. With zero overdubs, the guitar transforms from being a mellow, slightly overdriven twang machine to a howling monster in almost no time. With no shortage of bass solos, broken drum and hard-to-count-along beats, and colorful musical motifs that bind the sections together, this is a banger. “Been Thinking of You” borrows a page from the Miles Davis manual for (Atmospheric Jazz), with bluesy chops and a slow rhythm and a spicy guitar in place of Miles’s Infamous Trumpet.

“Frontmirror” is a gigantic piece that shows itself in 3 different frocks, Frontmirror, Frontmirror Afterthought, and Frontmirror Rethought. The first is a successful foray into the Noir Jazz style, perfectly suited to a black-and-white crime film from the 50s, with a steady riff on the upright and a steady beat that greatly serves the guitars, allowing Phillipp Wisser to go all the way from Soul to Blues to Jazz to Experimental, passing on everything in between. “Techos Inclinados” sees a shift away from the Noir in favor of the Rock. Highlights are the steady bass riffs and the gorgeous, lengthy guitar solo in the middle with its thick and creamy tone. “Not Today” is, I assume, the latter part of the humongous “Bubblegum & Not Today”. A near 13-minutes long composition of giant proportions. In its final 3 minutes is a section with a minimal, sparse beat and a masterful interplay between the melodic upright and the guitar, that’s soothing and welcoming. “Frontmirror Afterthought” and “Rethought” are relatively short experimental pieces with few things to stand out, with performances that remain on par with the remainder of the album and alien musical ideas and landscapes.

“Rusty” is the first of a trilogy that bookends that album on a fantastic note. Cowboy-inspired, with an anxious walking bass riff and a rock-solid beat and guitars that are cool and full of attitude but never noisy or abrasive. Part two is “Nachtlicht”. An ambient, comforting piece with beautiful melodies and motifs and equally beautiful performances and solos. “Waiting For Something” might be the simplest piece on here, musically, with chords that can be easily followed, and a melody that can be hummed with minimal mind contortion, along with no shortage of solos and attitude. The last two songs on here, along with “Rusty” are easily going to be the most enjoyable and easy to follow pieces for most of the listeners.

A professional, modern jazz album that’s truly novel and pure, with a great variety of styles ranging from the experimental to the easy and comforting, full of performances that are passionate and filled with intention heralds the beginning of a band full of mad talent. Blind Spot is a force that’s to be reckoned with, and they could not start their career on a better foot than right here.

Midnight in Madrid by Al Mur

0

Just in time for the weekend, “Midnight in Madrid,” a new soothing tune composed and produced by Al Mur, an electronic music composer and producer based in North Carolina, is now available on Spotify. According to him, the track is influenced by the nightlife of Madrid.

“Midnight in Madrid” was recorded and produced at Al Mur’s home studio, displaying the artist’s sleek production and melodic brilliance. The song exhibits strong romantic tones and atmospheric melodies.

A dreamy, romantic ambience is created by the synthesized music and calming orchestration. A drunken saxophone solo is transformed into a full-fledged quartet throughout the course of the song by the use of subtle percussion and progressive synthesizers. I was immediately brought back to Sade’s classic 90s hit “No Ordinary Love” when I heard the manner in which the saxophone plays with the pleasant tempo of the arrangement. It gives the tune a distinct Yacht-Rock and R&B flavor. “Midnight in Madrid” is the song that most exemplifies Al Mur’s ability to create tunes that completely encapsulate the listener.

Lost by Rick Smoove

A multi-talented artist who has risen up after going through different interests “Rick Smoove” has created “Lost” which was released on the 8th of July, 2022. Rick is currently producing his creative hip-hop and R&B music in San Antonio, Texas with immense strong lyrics that you can’t miss the meaning of his words.

Despite being excellent in various fields he succeeds in going on with his music career and became an amazing songwriter, the pandemic got him down to his innovative mind to produce this awesome music, “Lost” got a piece of different music that perfectly goes with the song lyrics, going with executive summer soft rhythmic beats that has a soulful and calming Lo-Fi vibe to it that catches you dancing like you’re in the ocean waves, and then comes Rick comes in with his straightforward lyrics which shows you every scene he tells through his song.

Rick got a really dope talent whenever he wants to send a message to his listeners with the scenery he resides through and the chilled vibes of what the music has. Each song he released previously got a different and unique sound to it, where he successfully reached his goal and will be a new rising star in the world.

His hard work on every song paid off with a bomb tune, A video release for this song “Lost” is a must, I can’t truly imagine how it will come out of Rick’s greatness in creativity that will send you out to a colorful dimension of abstract feels, the song is too perfect that you can listen to it under a sky full of stars at a party with low lights and romantic mood.
