دينا الوديدي خرجت من رحم هذا الجيل، وقتها كانت في أوائل العشرينات تحلم بالتغيير، تطمح لأن تكون صوت الشارع، متسلحة بصوت من زمن بعيد، موهبة واعدة، تجربة فنية ثرية في مسرح الورشة، ثقافة متنوعة بفضل دراستها للأدب الشرقي وعملها كمرشدة سياحية لبعض الوقت، وأحلام الشباب التي لا تعرف حدود، استطاعت دينا أن تضع قدمها على أول الطريق لـ “بلاد العجايب”.
تدرك دينا أن رحلتها الفنية طويلة وشاقة، لا ترغب في النجاح لفترة ثم الاختفاء، تثق في موهبتها ومشروعها الفني لكنها لا تدع الأمل يخدعها لأن “كتر الأمل خيبة”، لذلك فهي حريصة في إتخاذ قراراتها حتى لا “تخونها الخطاوي”، وبذكاء فنانة موهوبة تفهم جيدًا ما تريده وكيف تصل إليه، تعرف أن التميز ليس أمرًا سهلًا لكن مقوماتها تؤهلها، فهي تتقن حديث الأشجار والفصول تكلمها عن أحبتها.
لا تسعى دينا للاختلاف من أجل الاختلاف لكنها بحرص تعود للتراث تحاول أن تحيي جزءًا مهمًا لم يعد يلتفت له الفنانون، تبدع في أداء السيرة الهلالية لتتحول لـ “الزناتي أسد الغروب”، تثري تجربتها بالمشاركة في مشروع النيل بصحبة فنانين آخرين من مصر وأفريقيا، تنال منحة مؤسسة Rolex السويسرية لدعم الفن، يرعاها الفنان ووزير الثقافة البرازيلي السابق جيلبرتو جيل فنيًا لمدة عام ويشاركها في أغنية “الليل”، تقرر بأسلوبها الخاص تناول القضايا التي تشغلها، لا تكتفي بالغناء لكنها تكتب وتلحن أغانيها أيضًا، تكافئها مجلة Time باختيارها ضمن قادة الجيل القادم وتصفها بـ”صوت الأمل“، تتأكد الآن أن صوتها بات مسموعًا.
حاورت “سيسترا” دينا الوديدي للحديث عن تجربتها الفنية، أحلامها، وجديد أعمالها.
لنبدأ من أحدث أعمالكِ.. في مارس الماضي شاركتِ مع منصة الاستماع سبوتيفاي في تجربة equal بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للمرأة.. كيف كانت التجربة؟، وماذا عن دوركِ كفنانة في دعم قضايا المرأة والدعوة للمساواة؟
إعلان سبوتيفاي كان تجربة جميلة ليا والتعاون فيها مع فنانة ملهمة زي كارول سماحة وفنانات مصريات مجتهدات جدًا برضو كان مخليه أحسن وأحسن.
وأنا بشكل عام بدعم كل القضايا المتعلقة بالمرأة وخصوصًا في المجال الموسيقي وشايفة إن مهم كل فنانة قيادية في مشروعها تاخد حقها الكامل أدبيًا وفنيًا بدون تقليل مننا واستصغار لنا كبنات.
تقولين في أحدث أغانيكِ “كبرت” “كبرت وصغرت الدنيا وسبت الحالة تتغير”، وفي أغنية “الكون” اللي سبقتها “مش راضية بالحاضر مع انه بيساعني”، هل تحرصين في اختيار كلمات أغانيكِ الآن لتعبر عن مشاعركِ وتجربتكِ الذاتية خاصةً وأن رحلتكِ الفنية مختلفة عن المتواجدين على الساحة حاليًا؟
أكيد، وتحديدًا أغنية “الكون” هي من كلماتي وألحاني وتوزيع دي جي توتي. وفي المرحلة دي مهتمة أكتر اتكلم عن المشاعر وأحكي فيها من خلال أغانيا والعالم اللي بمر بيه عمومًا باختلاف زمان كنت مهتمة أكتر بالشارع والحياة والناس بس ممكن الفرق إني حاليًا جوه العالم الداخلي بتاعي أكتر.
لماذا ابتعدتِ عن تقديم الحفلات في الفترة الأخيرة؟
أنا حاليًا مركزة على الأغاني القادمة وألبومي المصغر القادم وبعض العروض فقط مش كلها عشان الحاجات دي بتحتاج تفرغ وده كل أولوياتي حاليًا إنتاج الألبوم موسيقيًا وفنيًا أكتر من الحفلات.
لحنتِ عدد كبير من أغانيكِ بنفسكِ، هل تفكرين في تلحين أغاني لنجوم آخرين في الفترة المقبلة؟
مش عارفة بس حسب الفنان أو الفنانة وإذا أنا شايفة إني ممكن أضيف حاجة مختلفة ليهم أكيد هحب أعمل كده.
جزء من مشروعكِ الفني قائم على الاستلهام من التراث والتاريخ المصري وتميزتِ في أداء السيرة الهلالية والفولكلور الشعبي، ومؤخرًا جربتِ ألوان مختلفة كان آخرها “يا بدر” و”الكون” مع دي جي توتي.. كيف تواكبين متطلبات السوق وتغيرين من أدواتكِ دون أن تفقدي هويتكِ؟
أولًا أنا من عشاق التراث المصري وشايفة إنه مادة مثيرة وغنية جدًا موسيقيًا بس ممكن يكون إني كنت محظوظة إني اشتغلت في مشاريع موسيقية كتير ملهاش علاقة ببعض زي مشروع النيل والشغل مع فرقة الورشة المسرحية أثروا عليا أوي وخلوني أحس أكتر إن التحدي الحقيقي إنك تكون نفسك وبشخصيتك أي كان اللي هتقدمه وبحاول أكمل في الجزء ده بس بأعمال أورجينال أكتر.
مؤخرًا الساحة الغنائية شهدت انتشار واسع للراب ونجومه.. ما هو تقييمك للظاهرة؟، وهل يمكن أن تقدمي دويتو مع مطرب بعينه خصوصًا أن تجربتكِ الفنية قائمة على التجريب؟
هو مش ظاهرة خالص هو Genre أو شعبة موسيقية موجودة وأثبتت وجودها أكيد وبتطور بوجود الرابرز دول والمنتجين اللي بيشتغلوا معاهم وأنا مع التنوع الموسيقي في العموم.
بخصوص التعاون بعتقد إني حاليًا مركزة أكتر علي الألبوم وبعدين في المستقبل ممكن حاجات كتير تحصل.
رغم قلة الإنتاج في المجمل بسبب تبعات الكورونا خلال السنتين الماضيتين إلا أنكِ تميزتِ بنشاط كبير ما بين المشاركة في برامج وطرح أغاني سينجل، كيف استفدتِ من هذه الفترة؟
استفدت جدًا من تجربتي مع الموسيقار باسم درويش مع الأوركسترا بقيادة المايسترو ناير ناجي وكانت تجربة حقيقي اتعلمت منها كتير، وطبعًا الأقرب لقلبي تجربتي مع الموسيقار هاني شنودة في برنامج صالونات إنتاج ريد بول لإني بحبه جدًا والصدفة كانت هايلة وقتها.
ألبوم “منام” تجربتكِ من الألف لـ الياء.. احكي لنا مدى صعوبة التجربة خصوصًا أن فكرة ألبوم كامل عن القطارات ليست بالأمر السهل ولا المعتاد؟
هي أكيد مكنتش سهلة وقتها كنت مهتمة أكتر بالتأليف والإنتاج الصوتي تحديدًا في ألبوم “منام” اللي كان كل أصواته بتعتمد على أصوات من القطارات وكان ألبوم تجريبي تمامًا بيحكي عن قصة شخص عايش بين عالمين مختلفين تمامًا
بس في نفس الوقت أنا بعتبرها من أكثر التجارب اللي غيرت كل أفكاري بعدها وقربت أكتر من العالم بتاعي من خلالها.
قدمتِ ألبومين هما “منام” و”تدور وترجع” وبعدها اتجهتِ لـ السينجل، برأيك هل تجربة السينجل أفضل للمطرب حاليًا في عصر السرعة والترند؟
الاتنين مهمين السينجل بتخليك متواجد وعندك اتصال دايم مع جمهورك بس طبعًا أنا بحب حالات الألبوم أكتر لأن بتعاون فيها مع موزعين وكتاب وبلحن أكتر وبحس فيها بخصوصية وإني تخلصت واتحررت من مرحلة معينة وعايزة أروح مكان تاني، بعد كل ألبوم بحس إن الأغاني مش بتاعتي خلاص وأنها ملك الناس.
إذًا متى يخرج الألبوم الثالث إلى النور؟
المفروض السنه دي.
أنتِ من الفنانين المتفاعلين على السوشيال ميديا لكنكِ مع ذلك تصفين نفسك بأنكِ شخصية منطوية، كيف تواجهين الجمهور وتتغلبين على مخاوفكِ على المسرح؟
المسرح موضوع تاني وهو بجد أكتر مكان بسيب نفسي فيه بس أكون مع الجمهور بحس إن دي لحظة لازم استمتع فيها تمامًا.
في ختام حوارنا، أود التطرق إلى أحلامك بعد أن وصفتك مجلة تايم بـ “صوت الأمل”، وقدمتِ حفلات في أمريكا، وكان جيلبرتو جيل مرشد فني لكِ، ماذا يتبقى من أحلامك؟
بحلم أكمل أكتر بإنتاج أغاني وألبومات أكتر من كده وأدي أكتر حاجات جوايا للجمهور المختلف اللي بيسمعني وأسيب بصمة مختلفة.
Instrumental music faces a challenge in connecting with the listener and portraying emotions and thoughts in the absence of lyrics and vocals. That is what adds authenticity and sincerity to it. “When Mountains Speak” has repeatedly manifested his ability to create unique, spiritual, and deeply self-connected music. His album “Seasons Of Awakening” is another marvelous example.
The album consists of nine tracks plus a bonus one. The beauty of this psychedelic album is that it feels like a journey and you’re getting the desired destination by listening to one after one, but it won’t lead you to a place, it will lead you to a sentiment, to a bond with all your surroundings. The soprano sax work is splendid, and it sets different moods in each song and shows a variety of potential. Steven Clarkson, the alter ego of When Mountains Speak, is incredibly skilled and has the ability to craft long pieces to spill his guts out and connect with the listener.
The opening track, “Lucid Velocity,” has acoustic elements such as the gentle guitar chords and the soft percussion, with some soprano saxophone. It gives us the feeling of uniting with nature, the earth, and all that surrounds us. In Indian religion, “Dharma” means the eternal and inherent nature of reality, and the sound of the track, “Sonic Dharma,” It has a dreamy vibe, and its five-minute length, driven by the soprano sax, feels like exploring and trying to find a latent truth.
“Insight” has obvious oriental influences and superb electric guitars. While listening to this one, you’ll feel like you’re on a quest to gain insight. Jazzing things a little with “A Spiritual Matter.” Track by track, you can see how the talented musician is nailing the sax. This track has a major calming effect. It feels like floating on the sea with some sun rays on your face.

In the Indian style, “Brilliance” has some ear-catching percussion. The Soprano Sax and the percussion together put the listener in such a calming, meditative ambiance. With “Awakening,” the album is coming to an end, and you’ll feel like your journey is too. It’s like your connections with the universe, earth, and yourself are getting stronger, and the bond is becoming unbreakable. The sound of the electric mandolin and the soprano sax is the celebration of this bond. There is no better gift than the one that is customized for the one we love.
The album’s closing track, “Her Beauty Transcends,” is dedicated to the loving wife, and it’s the most joyous track on the album; grab your partner and sway to it. We started with acoustic elements, and we’re ending with them. In the matter of our journey, this one is the feeling of arriving “home.” It’s full of life. If you can’t get enough of this authentic, one-of-a-kind work, you can listen to the bonus track “Floating Karma.”
The thing about “When The Mountains Speak” music is that no matter how much one tries to describe it, nothing compares to hearing it. Music, and especially this talented man’s music, speaks for itself.

Rena Hart is not an up-and-coming artist or someone who is still experimenting with their music. With over 10K followers on Instagram and thousands of views on her YouTube videos and music, Rena has set a strong foundation for herself and knows where she’s headed.
‘Ride or Die’ is her first song released after a two-year break. It is written and performed by her and produced by Excel Beats whom she got acquainted with through her rapper cousin, Cash Janezmart, and recorded at Icebox Studios in LA. Excel beats produced most of Rena’s songs and helped make her vision come to life, musically. The song has electronic sound effects with a fun vibe and catchy beat. The artist’s vocal interpretation is unique with a distinguishing style and a seductive, sexy vibe. She has a very varied taste in music and doesn’t stick to a specific genre while she is mainly influenced by Roisin Murphy, The Weeknd, Zhu, Bjork, Portishead, and Sade, not specifically for their music, but also for artistic visions and performances. The song is about a very personal time in Rena’s life when she found herself at crossroads; she was leading a successful and stable life, yet still felt unfulfilled in the corporate life which led her to reevaluate her choices and decided to deviate from her path and follow her passion. Amidst that, she had a supportive partner who helped her through this transitional phase, which is what the song became mainly about.
Rena has it all; she is a remarkable singer, songwriter, and a smart businesswoman. She co-founded The LA creative; a film and photo space that offers set design and creative direction for projects, leading her to curate various music events and artist showcases which makes sense given her background and previous work experience in corporate life.
Underbelly is performed by Joelle Corey, yet written by her with the cooperation of Anna Feller.
The song starts with kind of an ongoing monotone music for about a minute in the beginning, then another minute with the words (aaaahaaaa aaaaahaaaa). The length gives a little bit of distraction to the listener.
Along the song, the lyrics tell a story or describe a feeling of longing and desire for love or relationship in a nice and consistent way, which in its turn gives a good view of the feeling of the author. The listener might at some point relate to what is being said, but might as well get lost in the story, due to how the lyrics lack richness. In my opinion, the lyrics could have been made richer by adding the stops and repetitions in other parts or adding verses along the song, as I believe it will take the song to a whole new hitting level.
The song ends with a total nakedness of Joelle in an attempt to draw more attention or gather more audience to the song. The nakedness is used as a way of distraction, hoping the listener or the viewer of the video would disregard the music and be more attracted to the feminine body that is showing.
The song would be fit to be played while shopping or at a bar.
You might be a jazz fan or maybe not, but the one thing we would agree on the presence of great musicians such as “Mark Hennen”
Mark Hennen is an incredible veteran musician in the music industry with 50 years of remarkable experience as a solo artist and as a member of acclaimed groups. What’s really stunning over here that you will be listening to masterful solo played all the parts live by him.
While listening to Mark solo looks like looking at a beautiful painting with many different colours mixed together in a random but perfect mind taking way.
The song starts with a cheerful beginning, full of energy and keeps on getting better as it goes on. Definitely, the syncopated rhythms played by the drums are so energetic. You can feel the dynamics change in a professional way and using different effects ignite the atmosphere.
You cannot miss the harmony between the piano and the guitar lines, especially the powerful rhythms of the drums which are so spontaneous indeed.
From the first minute of this piece of art until its last one, Mark Hennen provided a masterful jazzy masterpiece.
Finally, listening to “Mark Solo” is a great way to rekindle the passion you need to start your day.
Last year, the German music producer, Matthias Geist, dropped “N.O.R.A,” a six-minute Techno Acid track, and that was all he needed to take us on a journey with his outstanding work.
The Frankfurt-based producer began his career in the 1990s with releases on various well-known club labels. In the mid-’90s, he did several remixes for well-known artists such as C-Block. His club remixes for dance projects like Captain Hollywood and Les Humpreys cemented his position in the German club/dance scene. In March 2021, he released “N.O.R.A” through the electronic music label, Amsterdam Talk Records.
The track has a mix of dark and dancy vibes. It’s retro yet modern and the beats are ear-catching, as you’ll find yourself nodding your head and shaking a leg the whole time. From the very beginning, it feels like we’re about to embark on an interesting adventure. It has a cinematic ambiance, as if it’s the soundtrack to a sci-fi film, and as the track progresses with its well-mastered sound, it feels like the scene is becoming more intense, until it reaches its peak.

‘I EAT PLANTS’ gives away what the song is all about –the transparent title of this track is as organic as its lyrics and music. The plot-twist? It’s a Rap song.
The one-of-a-kind tune comes from the social media sensation and talented Izoki, a 20-year-old artist, producer, obvs, and plant enthusiast. Beyond the fact that the track stands out by itself out of its innovative, creative and just wholesome sound.
The intro kicks off with a random monologue. Then the song makes a statement right on with an energetic tone. On the other hand, the outro closes up with a random conversation with who seems to be a stranger, asking him ‘what’s your favourite vegetable?”.
It is a different sound with a bouncy and playful chore, changing from the chorus’ bubbly beats to the occasional ambience sounds of a playground and kids’ laugh, windy background and random conversations playing at the beginning and end of the track.
In today’s world, where society is defined by the number of followers and who can set and keep up with Tik Tok’s trends, Izoki knows how to navigate such an unreliable reality. His music style rings a bell and reminds us of other artists such as bbno$.
The song’s topic is also bound to attract the attention of many, specifically vegans. As Izoki has an established image as the ‘plant boy’, this new track will not land as a random song but instead bring to light a new topic turned into a Rap tune.
The Luxembourg-based artist; Courtney Jayd Lumsden who goes by JAYD just dropped another single ‘Lucid Lover’ and it’s not any less capturing than her previous ones. The British artist has always been surrounded by music, dance, and theater, she worked in France as an entertainer and recently decided to focus on her music career.
‘Lucid Lover’ is her second release after ‘Headspace’ this year, an indie song with electro swirls, sound effects, and old-school R&B soundscape. It’s about relationships, break ups and their different types and circumstances. The lyrics are authentic, and personal and tackle different themes from mental health, and anxiety to toxic relationships. The artist mentions: “I am good at remembering stories people have told me and putting myself into someone’s shoes and writing from an honest place as if it were me living through it.” She is joined by rapper Mirari More, originally from Nigeria who immigrated to London at the age of 7. The song is like an ongoing conversation between Jayd and Mirari, where she mentions her regret and how much she misses him and he answers back by explaining why he had to let her go, a deep communication that not all lovers get to experience. The sound effects used in the song are remarkable; they show strong musical understanding and skills mastering, from unexpected, uncliched beats to interesting patterns on synths. But what caught my attention most is the virtual orchestration of the music and the occasional sound effect of the virtual choir. Going through Jayd’s Instagram page you will come across covers done by her, demonstrating remarkable vocal control and capabilities that she wasn’t able to demonstrate in ‘Lucid Lover’ given the nature and vibe of the song.

فاجأ الفنان أحمد حلمي جمهوره بطرح أغنية “الحركة دي” أول أيام العيد للترويج لأحدث أفلامه “واحد تاني”، ظهر حلمي في كليب الأغنية وهو يؤدي حركات راقصة مميزة مناسبة لإيقاع الأغنية ما جعل البعض يقلدها عبر منصات السوشيال ميديا.
الرابر الشهير مستر كوردي علق على التشابه بين تراك “Drop A Bomb” وأغنية “الحركة دي” من خلال ستوري نشرها عبر انستجرام أوضح فيها نقاط التشابه مؤكدًا أن حلمي قدمها أفضل.

في مفاجأة غير متوقعة، تعاون مروان بابلو وأبو الأنوار في فيت بعنوان “بربربر”، كانا أعلنا عن طرحه قبلها بساعات وهو بداية لمفاجآت أخرى ستظهر خلال حفلهما المقبل في الإسكندرية الجمعة ١٣ مايو.
اسم الفيت دفع فرغلي بلاكس لاتهام أبو الأنوار بتقليد تراكه “بر بر”، لكن ذلك لم يمنع الفيت من تصدر اليوتيوب في منافسة شرسة مع الجوكر الذي طرح تراكين مختلفين على مدار يومين متتالين، هما: “سوق الكاسيت” و”فتحت عيني”.
الأب الروحي للتراب مروان بابلو لم يكتفي بالفيت الذي طرحه في العيد، وطرح تراك ثانِ بعنوان “راكور” حقق نسب مشاهدة عالية قاربت نصف مليون في ساعات قليلة.
علي لوكا مطرب “متخافيش ياما” التي تجاوزت ٢ مليار على تيك توك، دخل في دائرة المنافسة مع طرحه كليب جديد بعنوان “أغيب أغيب” والذي يمكن اعتباره جزء ثان لأغنيته الناجحة التي طمأن فيها أمه ودعها لعدم الخوف عليه، لكنه هنا ينفي أنه بخير.
أقوى حفل العيد
رفع “Urban festival” شعار أقوى حفل في العيد. أقيم الحفل الجمعة الماضية على إستاد القاهرة، وشهد مباراة قوية تألق فيها أهم نجوم الراب السين: وهم أبيوسيف، آبو الأنوار، وليجسي، وباتيستويا، وآرسينك. حضر الحفل عدد كبير من محبي الراب في مصر واستمر حتى منتصف الليل.
