Kneel’n Rey released their song ‘Grifter’ two years ago, accompanied by an outstanding animated music video directed by Kennedy Rothchild. Today, the video has over 51K views on Youtube.

‘Grifter’ is the second single from their debut album ‘Atlantium’ which is out on all streaming platforms.

The song carries a psychedelic vibe and kicks off with an atmospheric intro that engages right in with your own imagination. 

In fact, the whole structure of the song is different. The overall track’s melody has a catchy, tuneful tune that smoothly takes you to the centre of the song. Even the song’s outro contains a concise electric guitar solo that stays with you.

The vocals are clear and confident. It didn’t go for the usual verses, choruses, and bridges. Instead, it was a flow of original, punchy lyrics with a perfect rhyme about misinterpreting how people see you.

We can happily say that “Grifter” remarkably delivered a new wave of sound from the legendary.

One of the perks of technology and globalization is how two brilliant musicians from different continents can create art and make music without having to get together and meet. Pico Panesa from Hamburg, Germany has made a habit out of such interesting endeavor, where she usually meets with artists through social media, and they end up working together remotely. 

Pico is a hip hop producer, and she likes creating beats of different genres of music, each song released has its own circumstances and the conditions are different. The artist is mainly influenced by US trap and German rap. She has released over 40 singles and one EP from 2021 throughout 2022. “Cursed” was created in collaboration with Nau’die from Nigeria. They connected through Fiverr platform and then kicked it off. Pico created the beat and recorded It in her studio in Germany then sent it to Nau’die, where she recorded the vocal line in a studio in Nigeria. Later, she sent it back to Pico where she did the mixing and mastering. The construction of the song is simple; the sound effects and loops in the background don’t change throughout the song, with a rapping vocal line, making it easy on the ears. The context of the lyrics is sad and mainly about someone who is depressed. 

It’s still fascinating how the possibilities of creating music are endless and no obstacles are big enough for you not to create what you want or imagine anymore. There are simply no rules anymore and if this isn’t inspiring, I don’t know what is. 

This band brings back the boy band vibe (which never gets old), Cheap blended a band of five members, Roger Toso: vocals, Gabriele Stegher on guitar and keyboards, Nico Aldegani on keyboards and synths, Alessandro Mattiazzo on Bass and Giulio Pattaro on drums. 

Cheap blended based in Bolzano, Italy was formed back in 2019. The members come from different musical projects and influences all within the south Tyrolean scene. They were previous members of AKKU, Homeless Band, Hangloose Band, Lukas Insam Trio, Ago and Friends, Lemon Duke, Grenzland, Machete and Jessato Groove. They were brought together by the desire of creating a project that would unite them all together to have fun and share their emotions and sound with the crowd. The band’s sound and vibe are light and fun, their music is leaning more to funk, contemporary soul, and pop with electronic influences. “Let go” is a laid-back song with a chill, relaxed beat. What caught my attention is how not one instrument is taking over, the electronic beat is sustained throughout the song, the guitar is not taking over and not the main instrument, the bass comes in and out, keyboards have a specific sound chosen for this song. the combination of electronic sounds, synths and keyboard is remarkable, which shifts the focus off the main, traditional instruments. The beat drops and pauses are catchy too. 

Diversity is a key word for this band and it’s definitely a strength point for them. The band is in the process of finishing their first EP and we can’t wait to hear more of what they have to offer. 

Last month, Maxx Effe, an Italian based DJ and producer dropped his latest release; ‘I believe in you’ an original mix.  You might not come across his name often, but he is currently the resident DJ at the CUE in Porto Cervo in Bologna. At the end of the 2000 he began to be part of the Omnia Tria Group (dance 90) collaborating in musical productions with Manuel Fast Fader and Michele Effe (Gold Lounge Record). He also collaborated with Italian artists in music production and has been performing in clubs in Italy since. Effe is not influenced by a main artist, he is just focused on the house music genre and deep house. 

The single has capturing electropop sounds, layers of synths and seductive beat drops, fit for the lovers of the classic house music beats. A variation of groovy sounds that’s impossible not to dance to, a male vocal line with a sweet and soft vibe and a breath-taking saxophone solo that is introduced in the other half of the song. The lyrics are sad, they’re about how his lover left him when he believed in her, he talks about the love and connection they shared and how he now needs to face the truth that she’s gone. 

The song is deep and layered, the more you listen the more you unlock the sounds and dive deeper in its layers. The perfect song to listen to on the beach while enjoying the summer breeze.

Have you ever felt that you are at the wrong time or place and need to get out? So stressed that everything is weighing on your brain?

This is a powerful and relatable song for anyone who feels drained or misunderstood while pursuing a dream. 

Chase Bennett’s new song “Toxic” describes the feeling of being in any type of unhealthy environment and harmful situations that anyone can come across.

The song was initially written by Chase from his bedroom at an all-time low. He then took the version from home, sent it to a friend and had it mixed and mastered in a studio.

“I just want my music to help someone how it has helped me.” –Chase says. 

“I am influenced by daily activities and things that happen in my life. So I try to write about what I feel connected to.”

Bennett wrote the song at an all-time low. So it comes as no surprise as to why the lyrics are significant, honest, punchy, and inspiring. He has found a way to use his creativity and musical skills to describe the mental, emotional, and psychological phases of feeling drained out.

The song’s intro starts with a fade-in electric guitar solo that grabs you to the song’s mood right away.

The rhythm is solid and catchy, and the firm beat accompanies the song’s emotions. 

Finally, the song’s outro comes in with a concise electric guitar solo with rough rhythmic chords at the back.

In short, the song expresses the state of a creative artist when he goes out of his comfort zone. Or, in other words, when Chase Bennet, a tremendously skilful rapper, creates a hit!

“see thru” is the new earworm to conquer the Pop/ Rap scene. This song has the easiest-going melody.

First, one thing stands out among everything else: Evans’s singing power is undiscussable dope. 

There’s no labelling when it comes to the melody of the track itself. Evans’ own style is a blend of multiple genres. In this case, “see thru” combines Pop-Punk patterns.

The lyrics describe the attitude of being in a relationship where someone can’t hide their emotions, things keep coming back and forth, and everything is blurred and unclear, but you instead keep it that way.

The song has already over 18K streams, a “humble” number for now compared to previous releases by Evans like “Kauai” (+182K streams), “Yes You Do” (+104K streams) and “Won’t” (+85K).

Evans is a solo vocalist who committed to a career in music around 2015/2016 when he was performing locally around his hometown. He quit the military to pursue music, running out of money in Los Angeles and accidentally settling in Toronto to produce creative work.

He has appeared on TV on CTV Atlantic, Nova Scotia and performed at the East Coast Music Awards (ECMA’s) in 2016.

All in all, counting the facts mentioned above, we know that Evans is one to watch as he rises to the top, and eventually, we look forward to seeing him become a viral hit.
