Starry Night by K-SYRAN

0

Are you ready to hit the dance floor with another K-Syran electronic-charged tune? “Starry Night” is quite a serene scene, but with the energizing artist, it’s more of a colorful party.

“Starry Night” is the delicious fruit of versed singer-songwriter K-Syran and Grammy-nominated famous Swedish producer StoneBridge’s collaboration. The song is structured to lift your mood, whatever you’re going through, and see sun rays through the starry night.

The music soars from the first note, making both your spirit and body soar along. The synths’ bright waves and the dynamic beats color the mesmerizing canvas drawn by K-Syran’s delicate vocals. The soulful artist offers such a dreamy performance, shipping you to other galaxies and enjoying the cosmic soundscapes.

The EDM’s spirited beats are what build the dance floor in the spacey galaxy. With every nuance, a magical spill pops up from the detailed arrangement that’s made skillfully to match K-Syran’s luring vocal line. It’s the kind of charm you want to fall for.

You’ll find yourself in a realm where you can only sense ecstasy, and if you want to stay there as long as you want, you can listen to the diverse versions of the song to enjoy the duo’s diverse artistry.

Album: Grace & Gravity by BLACKIEBLUEBIRD

0

The mesmerizing duo BlackieBlueBird is back with a haunting, melancholic, yet aerial album, “Grace & Gravity.” It’s a cosmic journey where you get to dive into the deepest parts of your soul as well as the darkest parts of space, feeling both gloomy and graceful.

BlackieBlueBird is the Copenhagen duo of Heidi Lindahl (vocalist) and Nils Lassen (composer). The pair make a heavenly match, where Lassen writes and produces and Lindahl sings, resulting in a soaring, dreamy record like “Grace & Gravity.” They create a sonic charm where you find yourself seamlessly hooked by the captivating acoustic melodies, neat storytelling, and ethereal vocals with heavenly choir harmonies.

“Grace & Gravity” marks the duo’s third album. It’s a ten-track record, and song by song, you’ll be lured to the romantic realm they created. The folky-acoustic and dreamy pop fusion builds an irresistible soundscape. The Danish drummer Tomas Ortved joined the duo to enhance the resonating synthesis, and it was all made in collaboration with T&E Records and Aenaos Records.

The overall feel of the album is peaceful. Each element spreads serenity, which makes you want to close your eyes throughout the album and enjoy the intimate, dreamy ambiance. It will evoke your memories and dig deep to reach the vulnerable depths, where you keep the stories of you falling in love, being “mesmerized,” and “can’t stop drinking” about someone. The melodies are charming and structured to delicately sing along with Heidi’s dulcet, enchanting vocals.

Right from the start, “The Morning After” will stir your soul, and its catchy chorus will stick in your head for a while along with the mastered solo section. “Mesmerized” offers more of a bright vibe with the dynamic drumming and glimmering guitars. I loved the heartwarming rhythms and harmonies in “The Love We Once Knew.” You’ll find yourself swaying along, despite the unhappy theme. “Mamachild,” with its ravishing instrumentation, has a heart-melting vocal delivery along with chilling harmonies.

“I Can’t Stop Drinking About You” waves with a colorful canvas amidst the blue textures. With this song, we’ve reached half of the album, so it’s well-placed and well-structured to sound that positive. A very folky mood is drawn by “Oh Susanna,” and one can’t help but get involved in the story while every element draws quite a picture. With a mellow intro, “Tired Hangs the Head” seduces one in and then progresses beautifully, conveying its relatable theme through every catchy note. “Boy of a 1000 Tears” is the sedative lullaby you didn’t know you needed.

As the album is getting to a close, “Love Me Like You’ve Never Been Hurt” hits with an atmospheric arrangement, poetic lyricism, and warm vocals. This is it; this is the song you want to play while grabbing your significant other and slowly dancing with them. “Snowwhite Swan” closes off the album, setting such a tranquil, paradise-like mood, making you not ready at all to open your eyes again, so you don’t get back from this magical realm.

Love, longing, and many memories in between are all easy to recall with their mixed sentiments when you have the company of BlackieBlueBird. The duo delivers clear, stirring, dream-like music with passion and great chemistry. You don’t want to miss this aural brilliance.

Album: Watchful Days by Ali George

0

Ali George just released his 6th album to date and the last of his album trilogy; a series of three albums that capture Ali’s soul, personal life, and how he sees the world. Think of this album as the peak, the tip of the mountain, where he took us with him on a journey of discovery and admiration only to reach the final phase with “Watchful Days.”

What makes this album so special? Apart from the calmness you’ll feel once you press play and the neat, well-curated sound, this album was a dedication to Ali’s partner’s mother, who passed away recently. The songs describe some hardships the couple went through during unstable times. Most of the album was written during the pandemic and lockdown, and when the couple had to go through life-changing events and decisions.

Ali has always had a unique and authentic sound; from his calming voice to his guitar-picking techniques, his raw lyrics, and the overall mood he sets you in as a listener. He simply casts a spell on you, making you feel relaxed, serene, and still.

The melodies are simply beautiful; like the intro of “Ferns” and “Dreams Within Dreams” or like the cello part played in the background in “Hard to Find” by Beth Porter. Along with other musicians who performed on this album, Tom Allen on double bass, Dexter Selboy on trumpet and backing vocals, Jools Scott on organ, and Irakles Kopitas on bass guitar.

The album was recorded and produced in collaboration with Josh Clark at Get Real Audio Studios, who also played drums in the album.

Whenever you feel stressed or down, just put this album on and listen, I assure you this folk-acoustic artist will lift you in no time!

Inside Out There by NO THANKS, MAN

0

The awesomely named musical project “No Thanks, Man” single “Inside Out There” is a…very unique experience.

Thinking about how to describe it, I always go back to the concept of ‘this can’t be put in a box with a label on it’…it’s a brilliantly conceived unique piece of musical experience…

“No Thanks, Man” comes from the brains and talents of the Texas-based artist Geraldine Espino, described as a musical vagabond, modern beatnik, and a polite revolutionary…I love how unique every aspect of the song and the artist is…

Even this uniqueness is conveyed clearly in the music production and creation of “Inside Out There”…

The music has many world influences going through it…it channels a lot of energy from around the world.

On your journey within “Inside Out There” you’ll come across so many exquisite and colorful tunes, beats, sounds, and melodies…some of them with a bit of a trippy twist…

…like the plucks that play throughout the song…there’s some trippy modulation happening there…it’s so perfect, so fitting and so effective in the mix…

Especially since Geraldine’s vocals are so smooth, so relaxing…and hold so much emotional energy to it.

The music production here is simple, unique, accessible, trippy just a bit, and feels rich…it is rich.

Soundscapes are monumental yet subtle, the reverbs are magical the mixing and mastering of the song is on another level…the music is so real you can touch it…it’s like going through a dream, a very colorful dream, flying through, extending your arms to touch new and amazing bright objects…it’s a mesmerizing experience.

Wishing all the best to Geraldine, or should I say to No Thanks, Man…” Inside Out There” is a must experience.

We can’t wait to see what comes out next from No Thanks, Man…we’re sure it’s going to be phenomenal.

Cheers!

Album: Left to our own devices by BLOOMFIELD MACHINE

0

Brian Kassan strikes again with his latest album release: “Left to Our Own Devices.” The multi-instrumentalist and producer has been releasing his music since 2017 under the stage name: “BLOOMFIELD MACHINE.” Yet, he’s been in the music scene for far longer; he was the original bassist/co-songwriter with the band “Wondermints,” led the Rock-pop band: “Chewy Marble” till 2008, and a lot of his music received recognition, and was featured on TV and in movies.

“Left to Our Own Devices” is a 16-track electronic album with a rock influence that is reflected in every turn, which makes sense given that the artist is mainly influenced by 70s progressive rock and classical music genres, along with bands like Boards of Canada, My Bloody Valentine, Gary Numan, Casino Vs. Japan, New Order, and Air. Each of these tracks is a piece on its own; they vary from 1 to 2 minutes long, but each has its own idea. Imagine this; once you press play, think of it as a compilation of short stories, each one with its own story to recite; the music helps you visualize it, and it just vividly comes to life. The first track “Reality Collapse” has a more futuristic nature with a psychedelic feel. The 2nd track “The Imperative” has an electronic foundation but is more melody-based. Moving to the third track “Looking for Leverage” is the perfect fusion of genres, between progressive rock, classical music, and electronic music, I could sense a Bach influence in the opening melody, he then uses a distorted guitar sound with an electronic approach to play his melodies, then wraps it all up with jazz-vibe. Later in the album, you will hear the influence of rock growing more like in “Ghost Passenger,” “Minister of Loneliness,” and “Levels of Infinity.” Throughout the album, I enjoyed the melodies, the riffs, their progressions, and how it all was nicely blended. It’s an album you don’t wanna miss.

What We’re Sold by Marshall Fassino

0

The warm and electrifying “What We’re Sold” by Marshall Fassino is here to offer us the truth about how life really goes, the rock gem we need to energize our day, and the last hooking teaser to the upcoming debut album, “Ways I Used To Feel.”

The Nashville-based artist Marshall Fassino makes music to capture ears and hearts with his captivating musicality and provoke thoughts with his lyricism. A warm bond ties his vocals to the realistic lyrics and catchy melody, drawing one into his fascinating musical realm.

“What We’re Sold” is Fassino’s fifth single that’s paving the way for the debut album coming this fall. The song combines smoothness with power. From start to finish, every note flows naturally, making one engage seamlessly with every element.

The song starts off with mesmerizing guitar chords, and throughout the almost 4-minute track, the guitar work remains magnificently one of the key elements. The solo part is infectious and highlights the talented artist’s musical prowess. The bassline, on the other hand, along with the drumming, adds a sparkly and dynamic touch.

The vocal line is tender, gritty, and passionate all at once. It embodies every lyric and sincerely delivers the message. The performance hints at rebellion against what we’ve been told and how “the world ain’t always what we’re sold,” which is relatable to almost everyone out there.

Artists like Marshall Fassino are the ones who keep rock still rocking. For people who like to find interesting new music in general and quality rock in particular, you’ll enjoy “What We’re Sold” below. Don’t forget to follow Fassino to listen to the forthcoming album once it’s out!

Slowly Burning Feelings by DRAUMR

0

After the success of his single, “In a Daze,” Draumr is back with the sensational dreamy pop song, “Slowly Burning Feelings,” which conveys vulnerability through nostalgic and contemporary flairs.

“Slowly Burning Feelings” differs from the previous output “In A Daze” in style, which showcases the diversity of Gabriel Cheurfa, the solo French musician, producer, and director behind the musical project Draumr.

The song instantly pulls you in with its nostalgic vibe from the first note. The melody and the enticing vocals’ 80s vibe give off the impression that you have traveled back in time to a more peaceful time when you could process your feelings and thoughts about looking for a genuine connection while listening to expressive, evocative music and feeling the chill of deserted roads at night.

There’s a sense of warmth in each component that makes one feel touched. The lyrics are poetic, portraying both hesitation and hope. The rich, haunting vocals are the centerpiece that effortlessly grabs one’s attention and charms them to listen to the number again and again. The instrumentation backs the vocals up beautifully, adding melodic layers and urging one to stand up and sway with the rhythm.

This is the soundscape you didn’t know you needed in your day to feel serene. It might be displaying emotional issues, but it finds its way to soothe you.

Dripping with a wholesome warmth, Goldschatz’s second EP Twin Flame is a living, breathing folk experience that touches on the pop and country sides of folk while maintaining the duo’s distinctive duet talents in full display throughout the EP’s short but weighted runtime.

Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Goldschatz is a folk and country duo made of Swiss guitarist and singer Timothy Jaromir and Canadian artist Rykka. With their lively and honest storytelling, the duo have been rewarded with success and recognition in the Swiss live music scene, and with time have managed to sneak their ways into international radio play as well. Listening to Twin Flame it becomes immediately unsurprising that the band has been receiving attention. The couple have a particular sound that stems from deep down within the American folk tradition. Playing music that is defined by Jaromir’s warm and grand acoustic guitar and the lush harmony between the two artists’ voices, the chemistry oozes from those two, and the results are outstanding songs.

‘Gemini’ in particular is an easy standout. A song that sums up the sound of the duo quite easily. The driving groove, warm and soulful chords and lyrics, and the charming oohs in the chorus that display exactly how much vocal chemistry the duo has between them, all add up to a heartwarming piece of music for the road that is easy to fall in love with. ‘Kindness of Strangers’ is another stunner that sees the two voices intertwine and interweave throughout the song. A perfect campfire song, the easily accessible song is the kind of song that will get the listeners gently bobbing their heads, contemplating the words, before winning them over and having them singing the title along with the duo as they gracefully deliver the song’s soaring crescendo.

Twin Flame EP is a simple musical endeavor that is easy to fall for. With all its charming simplicity and stark honesty, we come face to face with a duo that are here to celebrate music and life in a genuinely sweet way that we dearly miss. Goldschatz’s latest EP is the kind of folk music that will make you swear you had problems before you started listening.
