“The Way That You Are” is a loving testimony that demonstrates genuine love and how one can be over the moon because of every little detail of their significant other. The single is dipped in affection and delight, which is shown in every well-structured element and dripping from the melodic layers, making its way into listeners’ hearts and souls. It’s all proficiently arranged, and the composition is mesmerizing, yet without a doubt, what stands out effortlessly is Elion Melody’s soulful vocals. He has an intoxicating vocal line, and he sounds poetic and dreamy as if he weaved the song with these touching sensitivities to sing it at his own wedding.

The instrumentation urges one to grab their partner and dance slowly with the melody. The synth gives off an airy and uplifting sense. In A Daze by Draumr

0

The fresh steamy, yet upbeat number “In A Daze” by Draumr is a gripping adventure into limbo where one can be lost with a chance to be found by an awaited rescuer.

Draumr is the alter ego of the solo French musician, producer, and director Gabriel Cheurfa. The musical project “Draumr” takes its name from the Ancient Norse word for “dream,” and it certainly fits within the dreamy, escapade-like, and blended fabric of fantasy and realism’s sonic landscape.

A mystic intro opens the song, which soon progresses to a vibrant flow. The charismatic vocals tie all the components together to offer one atmospheric output. With the vocal line having both delicacy and smoky timbres, it certainly fires up the heat and urges one to groove along with the uplifting blended sound. The adventure is powered by the artistry of Draumr and his own crafted sound of mashing Pop, Electronica, Nu-Disco, and Lo-Fi elements, resulting in an airy experimental flavor.

Each ingredient falls smoothly into the matrix, creating a harmonic, boosting soundscape with layers of sensitivity. It’s incredible how it all conveys the single’s title and theme! While the infectious melodies entice you to get beneath the disco ball and bust a move, you’ll feel the “dazed and confused” ambiance all around you.

The synth-driven track doesn’t take all the fun exclusively in its dope musical composition, it allows the space for a music video to take the role in finalizing the transition to the banger realm when one gets to be in a daze yet kick up their heels. The video has aesthetic red footage with some other hazy colored balls interfering, and Draumr shows us how a man can wonder, “Did I ever try to break free?” and be immersed in the outstanding musicality at once.

Mixed feelings, retro and contemporary uniting, and witty talent are all demonstrated in “In A Daze” below.

House Party by Class Vee

0

The emerging singer/songwriter Class Vee sees that it’s the perfect time for a summer jam; don’t you agree? Her latest release, “House Party,” is a party anthem you didn’t know you needed.

Class Vee is an American solo artist who made her entrance into the music realm as the lead vocalist and songwriter in a band in 2019, and when it disbanded in 2021, Vee carried on and made her own way as a solo musician in the same year. The young artist has her own flair when it comes to producing a genuine sound. She fuses Pop, RnB, and Disco with a hint of her Latina influences, which make her sonic characteristics charged with energy.

“House Party” is inspired by a 1990s film of the same title, which perfectly fits both. The song is dripping with energy, pleasure, and some romance. All of the elements work well together to enhance the desired vibe. Vee’s vocals are full of life with a soulful tone; you can easily notice her vocal prowess and her ability to range and effortlessly stand out. The beats are infectious, urging you to groove and instantly throw a party. The diverse genres are blending seamlessly, and especially with the nostalgic flavor, such an organic euphoria is generated.

To complement the bombastic atmosphere and 90s spirit, there’s a colorful music video to get you immersed in the retro mood. Every detail of the lusty video scenes is uplifting and smoothly puts you in a festive aura, and if you’re a 90s kid, it surely will provoke some pleasant memories.

Class Vee is a talented artist who knows how to make quality music and how to have fun, and in such a troubled life, you definitely need both features in your life.

Album: Three Minute Noodles by Rj Bacon

Do you know how you want to relax and unwind when you’re in a not-so-great mood? We all deal with that differently, but for a music-driven, jazz fan like me, I surely love to seek a local jazz bar or the nearest jazz trio performance, and I just listen. It simply lifts me and leaves me floating. Listening to RJ Bacon’s latest album, it did just that; he simply brought that live music vibe home.

The renowned musician, producer, and one of Australia’s leading cinematographers: “RJ Bacon” just released his seventh and latest album: “Three Minute Noodles” of a series of lounge music albums. All his previous albums gained unmeasurable recognition, especially the critically acclaimed “Beyond the Perpendicular,” released in 2021.

Russel J. Bacon comes from extensive experience and a background in music, film, television, and drama, even photography. There’s not a thing in this creative sector that he simply hasn’t tried and accomplished well in. Bacon currently enjoys working in his cozy music studio in Sydney, where he records all his music, mainly jazz, and blues.

Like in his previous work, this seven-track album, he recorded, wrote, and produced all the songs. “Three Minute Noodles” is a compilation of melodies, riffs, and tunes collected over the years. The first thing I noticed; was how the music comes from a very passionate place, it is filled with raw emotion, smoothness, and subtlety like no other. In some songs like “West 44th,” you’ll find the piano taking the lead. While in others like “Ten Pin,” the bass gets its own spotlight. Some songs give a more chilled, calm vibe with remarkable improvisation like “All I See,” while others could be more cheerful and uplifting, giving you a dance feel like: “Beach Shadows” and “Three Minute Doodle.” No words will do this album justice; it’s definitely worth adding to your playlist.

Just the intro / play no games by Son.person

Memphis has always been a staple of good music, with a solid historical footprint in many music genres, Memphis always delivers…and this time around we’re experiencing a new flavor from the heart of the city.

Son.person is a pop artist, fusing electronic and trap elements…he just released his second single with duke smith, “Just the Intro”.

This musical duo match was created by destiny and through jazz, however, they took their own road and are now crafting electronic pop songs, enabling them to connect with even more audiences.

“Just the Intro” is how they decided to talk to the world and give them just a snippet of what they can do…as the title says, this is just the beginning, they can and will do more and more and more….

The song has jazzy elements mixed in with modern beats and flawless vocal flow…it shows how these two artists are within their core, they are musical and melodic, and have a lot to offer.

“Just the Intro” is a jazzy electro/trap pop song with futuristic sensibilities, it does sound like an uber-modern song that almost feels like it’s coming from the near future.

The unique blend of smooth yet complex jazzy chords and the fusion of modern electro beats, “Just the Intro” might be the beginning of a new trend.

To Person and Smith, we wish you all the best in life and we can’t wait to listen to what you have up your sleeve for the future.

Cheers!

Falling Stars by De antiquis et novis

All the way from Munich, Germany comes de antiquis et novis, a unique EDM artist that is crafting melodic electronic music that is sure to keep you pumped and ready to go with a positive vibe…

The artist behind de antiquis et novis is none other than Matthias Schorer, he’s doing all of the amazing production, from composing, recording, and synthesizers to sound engineering…and he’s a force to be reckoned with, he’s a one-man show doing everything…and it shows in his craft.

Matthias, or should I say de antiquis et novis, just released a single called “Falling Stars”…it’s also going to be in his upcoming dance album, scheduled for release mid-2023…name is still undecided, or maybe it’s a secret…

“Falling Stars” is an uplifting dance track with mesmerizing vocals and upbeat energetic vibes, it definitely took my day up a notch, especially since I started my day with it.

“Falling Stars” starts out with an iconic piano intro, seconds in the hi-hats jumps in…then the beat…

Percussion joins in to give a fuller sound…and it sounds and feels amazing.

The positive vibes that the song gives off are absolutely much needed, especially in these times we’re living in…then the vocals jump in, hypnotic, and catch you in their grasp.

The song really is something to play and forget yourself to…you move with the beat and you let yourself go with it…

Production is top-notch, and the sounds are balanced and punchy, while the vocals are leaning more into the ambient territory…it’s a fusion that checks out all the boxes of an extremely enjoyable ride.

Matthias, you’ve got yourself some fans here already, so we can’t tell you how much we enjoyed “Falling Stars”…it’s definitely a highly recommended song…can’t wait for the full album, we’ll be on the lookout.

Reality by Marie Chain

Music can be an experience…

Music can be a journey…

For Marie Chain, music is life…

Coming from Leipzig, Germany, Marie grew up playing piano, since the age of 5, she went on in life discovering herself through both playing and making music.

She has created a space, where her music and positive vibes can grow and teach the world how to connect and heal together…this space is her self-produced festival “Freedom Festival”.

“Freedom Festival” has taken place in Guatemala, Mexico, and Germany…so far…

…the upcoming one is going to take place in Egypt…to be specific in Dahab, a coastal town tucked away between the mountain ranges and the red sea…in Arabic, Dahab means Gold…and the place is definitely gold…

…along with Marie’s golden tunes playing…this event will be a life-time experience to behold…

Marie has many things going on with her music and her festival, not to mention that she’s a pianist, DJ, singer, songwriter, and festival producer…to add to the already rich experience, she just released a single titled “Reality”.

“Reality” is tuned to 432Hz, which is commonly known as the ‘Miracle Tone’, it is known to heighten perception, increase the mental clarity of a person, and unlock intuition.

“Reality” was conceived..and by that, I mean written and recorded in the mountains of Guatemala on a trip through Central America and finalized in Marie’s hometown.

The song is a hypnotic meditative experience, with soaring and mesmerizing vocals, along with healing percussive beats…

Marie did something magical for sure, she created an experience that transcends music and song and went for a healing experience.

The piano is very melodic and acts as the backbone of the song, while the percussions are a steady stream of rhythmic movement… last but surely not least, the vocals…

Vocals in “Reality” are the soul, the essence of life and they are the source of all the healing power in the song…while being richly layered and highly produced, the vocals are an experience in itself, exceptionally moving…can’t wait to experience it in Dahab.

“Reality” is phenomenal and Marie’s music is life-changing…a highly recommended artist, you gotta check her works right now and right away.

Marie, we wish you all the best in life, you’re giving the world the much-needed positivity it’s in dire need of…and we thank you for that.

Cheers!

Danza Aliena by Massimo De Simone

From the iconic land of Italy, with its history and culture, comes a new shining star…Massimo De Simone, an electronic pop artist making his mark on the electro genre and putting a twist on it

Massimo’s latest single in the world of electro-pop is “Danza Aliena”, alien dance…

It’s a cinematic, ambient, electro-pop song with many heartfelt melodies and a very high production value, amazing sound choices, and a lovely balanced

“Danza Aliena” is an experimental journey in the electro-pop world…

The music can be felt as ambient and also as cinematic, it really feels like you’re exploring an alien world…let’s dive into this world and explore it for ourselves…shall we?

The song starts out with ambient sounds, very rich and lush soundscapes…

Vocals kick in smoothly…the synth melody starts playing and it is such a catchy melody, one of many in “Danza Aliena”…which is one of the highlights of the song, the many melodies that play across.

The song has a more relaxed tempo across the majority of its course, with some verses having a bit of an uptempo…

Speaking of the journey within the song, actually, Massimo has a story to go with the song, an imaginary story about him wandering in the universe, with his imaginary alien brother.

…and let me paraphrase a bit of Massimo’s description of the song…

Massimo De Simone wonders if, somewhere in the universe, an alien brother already exists, ready to guide us in the discovery of his world, curious in turn to know ours…

It is most certainly a journey into the experimental universe that is worth embarking on.

Massimo, we wish you all the best in life, you deserve it.

Looking forward to seeing what you come out with.

Cheers!

Album: Mythologies by Herald K

It’s been quite some time since I last experienced an album with this complete experience of folk music that is both raw and modern at the same time…but artist Herald K has absolutely nailed the true nature of folk music while adding his own modern and absolutely unique twist on it.

Herald K is a Norwegian singer/songwriter based in Vienna, Austria with an album that has already been released and another that was just released on the 12th of May, it’s titled “Mythologies”.

“Mythologies” is a noir-folk album that sucks you into the world that Herald has masterfully created and takes you on a journey of self-exploration and relaxation.

“Mythologies” has 10 tracks within its journey…5 of which were already released, but “Mythologies” they will be re-released with a different production, to fit in more easily within the whole album experience.

The album starts out with “Old Soul” a folk song with rhythmic guitars and a melodica/harmonica-sounding instrumentation…mixed with Herald’s rich vocals, it’s the perfect start for a fantastic album experience.

With some fiddle work in there, “Old Soul” is a true folk experience that really transports you to another world.

…moving into the second track “Echo’s Song”…a more somber song with pianos and smooth fiddle work, it’s a more downbeat…and with Herald’s narration-style intro vocal delivery, it’s like a story, especially with the female vocals that go back and forth with Herald’s…it’s beautiful.

Diving further into the album, you’ll come across different vibes, “Circe”, it’s a more European kind of folk song, a different vibe, with a view of the green mountains of Europe, it’s different, yet the same…it’s a journey.

…going even further into the album, you’ll get to experience completely new songs…like “Charon”…it’s leaning more into the noir side of things…and it feels like a song in a musical.

The album finishes with “The Dark Lady”…once again with a different vibe, the intro is more like a classical string quartet, beautifully realized and conducted.

“Mythologies” is a near-perfect album and is a highly recommended experience for any music lover.

Herald, we’re absolutely mesmerized with “Mythologies” and can’t recommend it enough to everyone., we wish you all the best in life, you definitely deserve it…and a lot more.

I can’t wait to see what you have next.

Cheers!

Interview: HUNTER by Affentanz

For all electronic music lovers out there…one word for you today…Affentanz.

…we actually have the pleasure to have the awesome people behind Affentanz and we got to ask them a couple of questions and to get to know them better.

 So, without further ado…

  •  How about we start with an introduction?

AFFENTANZ is an Downtempo Electronica project by me, Martin Hillebrand. It started years ago and shows my love for weird electronic sounds, Vocoders, and dance Beats. I love to drown in the studio for hours and hours where I really forget about time. Besides AFFENTANZ, I am into TV and Film Scoring but with AFFENTANZ I can really go nuts.

  •  We heard your latest single “Hunter” and it is simply brilliant. How did it come about? What made you do this track?

Well, thank you but the first version was really boring. Our label did not want to release it so I talked to my Co-Producer Andy Haywire and we started to work on the Demo. We changed the Bass, we added the Rap, and all these great sounds. And when we were done we knew “this could be a Hit-Single”. HUNTER climbed the Top 10 of the DAC Charts – The German Alternative Charts. During the creation process, our art director Cyprian Hercka decided to create this stunning music video which can be found on our YouTube channel. If you haven’t seen it, do it now.

  •  That sounds amazing, we’re definitely intrigued to watch it…so let me ask you this… question that might arise in the minds of your audience and our readers…what is “Affentanz”? What does it mean and how did you choose the name?

AFFENTANZ is based on a strange fictive idea that a human being – me – crashed with a small plane on an unknown island in the Indonesian sea. There I lived for a few years with an ape tribe that represents “the missing link”. I learned about morals and their sight on society. And when I left the island and went back to civilization to preach what I have learned to the people in the world. AFFENTANZ is always about society.

  • Interesting!! And how does your latest song “Hunter” represent your music? How evolved is it compared to your other tracks?

HUNTER is the next step in the AFFENTANZ universe. We develop from track to track. This time we played around with Rap Vocals that are done by Andy Haywire. We sent them through several plugins and even the original Vocals could have been released, but I wanted this “The Chemical Brothers”-feeling if you know what I mean. I am not stuck to the past but I love these guys from Manchester.

  • That’s insightful… So, how long have you been making music?

I started at the age of 18 or 19 with my first Synthesizer, a Roland JD 800. And when I was in my twenties I signed my first record deal. I produced some German DJs as a ghost producer. I am into music for more than 30 years and I still love what I do.

  • That’s very inspiring! knowing what you want to do at a young age. Was it always electronic music? Did you have a different passion before that?

My first love was Alternative Music like THE CURE, THE MISSION, or SISTERS OF MERCY. You see mostly dark music. Also, I really was into DEPECHE MODE. When I was in my thirties I discovered NINE INCH NAILS and that opened a totally new world to me. Guitars, Synths, and such a strength!

  • How did it feel when you saw your song “Safe Place” get into the DAC (Deutsche Alternative Charts)?

SAFE PLACE is our first release from our upcoming album FOLLOW THEIR WORDS and we were so proud when we entered the charts. That was our first time with AFFENTANZ. I think we celebrated it with some Wine and Beer.

  • Having that kind of recognition is definitely a huge deal for you…but how about instant recognition from the audience? Did you get to play live before?

We played live right before Covid-19 hit our world and we want to build on this. Ask your local promoter to book AFFENTANZ for your venue. We will come, for sure! I was a former member of the well-known Electro Punk Band XPQ-21 and we played all over Europe. Live is the best experience you can have as a musician or even as a producer to see how the crowd reacts to your songs.

  • Obviously, you’re doing amazing music, but what are your plans for the future, whether for playing live or releasing new stuff?

We plan to release a single every two months and play live during 2023. If you follow us on Instagram you can see what is coming up next. We try to keep our community informed. Visiting our Website from time to time really keeps you up to date in the AFFENTANZ universe.

  •  So one last question, for all the people out there who still didn’t hear your music, could you describe Affentanz’s music in one sentence?

Sure, AFFENTANZ is deep and dark electronic music far below 127 beats per minute.

Thank you so much! It’s been a pleasure, we’re hooked on your music and would easily recommend it to any electronic music fan…or basically any music fan at all!

We wish you all the best in life and can’t wait to hear more from you.

Cheers!
